Newt, Perry Push Voters to Romney and Paul
Yahoo Voices ^ | Jan. 13th, 2012 | Sherry Tomfeld

If you are a conservative and believe in their principles, you may be upset with Newt Gingrich and Rick Perry. Their vicious attacks on Mitt Romney and capitalism have been relentless, and the fallout is just beginning. Perry has lost a top supporter in Barry Wynn who hates the anti-capitalism rhetoric. Gingrich has garnered sharp criticism from Republican heavy weights like Rush Limbaugh and Rudy Giuliani.

Bull.

...”Paul has surged 11 points and Santorum has dropped 17 points since ARG’s last survey in South Carolina, which was conducted after Iowa’s January 3 caucuses and before New Hampshire’s primary. Perry has jumped 7 points since the earlier survey, with Gingrich inching up two points and Romney losing two points. Romney edged out Santorum by eight votes to win Iowa’s caucuses. Paul came in third place.”

LOL!!!...
So says Sherry Tomfeld.

She sure seems to be a tough old bird...
"Gardening and food preservation are her passion, she has been doing both for 30 years.Working thousands of head of hogs, raising cattle, goats and chickens to being lead cook in a 90 resident nursing home. She is involved with alternative medicine, from learning Reiki to using healing alternatives for herself and livestock illnesses. Her interests are religion, crime and politics."

Actually, they were standing up for free enterprise.

The were opposed to crony enterprise, the kind practiced by Romney at Bain Capital and known as vulture capitalism.

What is really funny is the supposed “conservative” media running to liberal Mitt Romney in a fake huff over Gingrich attacking fake capitalism.

I will actively work against Mitt Romney. I will never support him.

This is ridiculous. Newt and Perry are not attacking Capitalism. They are going after Romney and his crony capitalism. Big difference. Perry has created over one million jobs in Texas and how anyone could entertain the idea he is against capitalism isn’t a free-thinker. You are being played folks. Big time.

I’m not upset at all. It’s very interesting. This was not an attack on free enterprise but rather corruption of free enterprise. It’s laundry. If it’s dirty, it will come out in the wash.
I would think Romney’s people would welcome this discussion so we don’t have to have it in the general election. I’d like Romney to release his tax information pretty soon too. Everyone should come clean. Every candidate has been taken through the cleaners except Romney. Let’s just relax and watch right now. There’s time.

Is there any chance that after the upcoming debate, the brutal fighting will subside? I would love for Newt and Perry to be quoted on the news for saying things about the economy and jobs rather than the fight with Romney.

All 50 states, just like they do for the Presidential race, should vote on the same day for the nominee. It would be a lot harder to corrupt with so many states involved and it would end this attack.

Rest assure on this... Once it's over I'm on the anyone but Obama ticket. Even if it's Mitt Romney. Yes Mitt is bad, but a step in the right direction.

Think of it like World War II. Yes the Soviets were bad since they helped started the dam with Germany. Never the less we must be Allies in order to defeat Germany.

What I’m saying is that we all have to look we have in common and that opposition to the current occupant in the White House. We need to unite to get him out and then we can bicker later.

I feel like you're repeating buzz words and have no idea what you're talking about.

There are many, many, many things that Romney can legitimately be attacked on. It should be like shooting fish in a barrel - but instead they're shooting at the bald eagle in the sky.

But being a tremendously successful venture capitalist who created tons of jobs, invested in startups and tried to save or appropriately liquidate dying businesses, should be celebrated or at least commended.

It's just stunning to me to see "conservatives" rush to embrace the marxist critique of capitalism and embrace economic ignorance.

Perry and Gingrich are NOT “attacking capitalism”, and I am tired of hearing such stupidity. They are questioning the record of one company belonging to one individual.

If people allow that to “push” them to Romney and Paul, they had weak minds to begin with, and weaker principles.

“I love Rush, and I like Levin, but this assault on Perry from the pundits makes me want to PUKE!”

Perry was the target from onset. Cainiacs and other Romney supporters were able to hit him early on. I think Rush was an unwilling participant but succumbed. He bitterly disappoints me for his interference instead of letting it all play out. Without the talk jocks telling everyone what to do and how to feel, ANYONE could have beat Obama. They have created the mess we’re in and Rush punctuated it with his weighty presence. No more tea for me, Rush.

Gingrich & Perry are attacking conservative belief in free enterprise...

No, they are not, they are attacking Romney. If you choose to believe the way every talking head, blogger, or Romney/Paul supporter wishes to portray it, go ahead.

However, where were you and the rest of the MSM when they were attacking Gingrich and Perry?! If Romney wants to run on a platform of a "job creator" and his business experience, it is fair game.

That fat old fraud who thinks the government should stop global warming and endorsed the individual mandate and Dede Scozzafava and spent the last 15 years trading on insider connections and selling himself to vast wealth to support his third wife's Tiffany's purchases?

Yeah, I was all over that.

Perry I could have lived with but he seemed -- seems -- intent on self immolation.

Sorry, Crichton, but I do know what I’m talking about.

One of Bain’s methods was to buy a company, temporarily boost it’s earning by lowering its cost, borrow tremendously against that increased potential, buy back the shares of its investors with the borrowed money, and then leave the company to go bankrupt when it could not continue the pace higher earnings needed to pay off the borrowed money.

By that time, their shares were no longer in the company.

Additionally, they’d use smoke and mirrors consisting of holding companies, bankruptcy laws, corporate law, and manipulated appraisals to enormously profit from particular targeted companies.

That is not how a free market works, and if you were one of the non-Bain bond holders of that company or one of the employees, creditors, or contractors walking into bankruptcy court with only a prayer of getting pennies on the dollar, then you’d not feel so kindly toward Bain and Romney.

Romney is the ultimate vulture capitalist.
