RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) - Federal District Court Judge John Gibney ruled against Texas Governor Rick Perry and other Republican presidential candidates who sued in an effort to appear on the ballot for the Virginia Republican primary in March.

Judge Gibney announced the ruling Friday afternoon in Richmond, Virginia.[CLICK HERE: Read the judge's order] The suit was originally filed by Texas Governor Rick Perry.

Newt Gingrich, Rick Santorum, and Jon Hunstman later joined the challenge.

According to court documents, the Republican candidates failed to meet the 10,000 signature petition requirements to get on the ballot.

Mitt Romney and Ron Paul met the requirements.

Monday, Judge Gibney ordered the distribution of absentee ballots for Virginia's Republican primary to be halted until the legal challenge could be settled.

The judge is obviously a partisan Willard supporter.

I think an appeal is in order.

It does not happen very often, but sometimes a judge will rule on a case and consider States’ Rights’ and the 10th Amendment.

This is of course opposed to all those liberal activist judges who seek to interfere in the right of a state to hold elections as they see fit.

The Wall Street Journal now asks......It’s not a matter of Newt losing. It’s a matter of will he lose with dignity. Newt, Perry, Huntsman showed their true colors. Win at any cost.

Gotta give to Santorum, he didn’t go there.

I thought Perry’s implosion was historic. I Now have to say Newt’s was even more so. We gave him a 2nd chance. We chose not to listen to what everyone was saying about him, his ego, his temper, his arrogance. I liked him in the debates, I liked him with the press.

Then he decided to go kamakazee and attack free market capitalism and he’s taking down the party with him. When in fact, like the kamakazee pilot who missed the ship and hit only the water......Newt and the others are hitting only water and destroying only themselves.

I’m no fan of Romney, in fact I couldnt stand him before. But he’s grown on me, he’s unflappable, he’s Presidential, he’s not perfect, but he seems to have become more conservative in the last few weeks, his speeches are great.

It’s time we all rally around him. It’s time.

Judge John Gibney was appointed by Obama. He is a filthy lying POS Commie Pinko Batarde.

And that's on his good days.

They are waving the red flag at us in this one ~

One solution to this is for Romney and Paul to decline to run in Virginia until such time as the State Legislature can figure out which end of their nether regions runs their mouth.

Sorry, FRiend. The posts here previously indicated
that were not bound by the “requirements”.

If you have proof to the contrary, post it.

Judge Gibney: “The residency issue is likely to fall in the appellate court, but I can’t see how I can put them on the ballot without the 10,000 signatures.”

He didn’t attack free-market capitalism, he attacked Mitt Romney. Romney is a big government statist CRONY capitalist. Capitalize the profits, socialize the losses.
