This is precisely what the Usurping Marxist wants. By that I mean creating economic chaos in America. The fastest way to do that is to cut off or reduce America’s oil supply. Her’s neatly put us in this position by blocking every attempt that’s been made to make America petroleum self-reliant.
That’s what the so called Arab Spring was all about—disrupting America’s access to Middle East oil. That didn’t pan out for him so now he declares the Iraq WOT over. Goal: Destabilize Iraq and other so-called moderate Arab states so as to cut off or constrict America’s access to Middle East oil. Onada will keep working this until he succeeds in creating the kind of chaos the Marxists need to retain power in Washington. The Marxists are paniced now. It will be a wild ride up to and through the pres. election cycle.
I have to wonder by how much this will cut down on our exports if this does go on for any length of time. Higher prices is one thing, but this could end up causing a run on refined product in varoius places over a long enough period of time.
It's hard to have a "run" on products that would require 500 gal. storage tanks.

That might be part of his plan, but as I recall the market bubbles burst in 2008 as a result of sustained spikes in energy prices. Another energy price shock would send a weak economy further into an already continuing recession. With all his other terrible economic policies, there is no way the economy recovers before November.
Think larger scale, think regionaly, including transportaiton methods, and not locally. Run in this case caused by shortages and human psychology. The region(s) hit try to bid the price up in an effort to get a hold of the product. If it happens over enough time, others will come in and bid it up and try for delievery even store it on ships as we have seen with crude oil in the past. Of course that could then lead to a run, certaily not on 500 gallon tanks, but more like tanker ships and countries who refine it not as likely to sell it. Supplies of crude are tight enough that this could happen with enough time.

The prices above were shown on SF KTVU this morning. They are blocking the prices of the higher grades which were over $5/gallon.
Remember the hate America Enviros have wanted $5/gallon for gas for years. If our economy was recovering, this will drive a wooden stake into its heart!
