I’m still praying and fasting weekly of Gov Perry, and I hope he makes some kind of breakthrough in SC. If he doesn’t, I’m thinking he might call it quits.

I know he is getting a lot of support and will stay in this fight for the nomination. The delegates are a strange situation this year with state penalties.

Mitt is vulnerable and that stupid stunt yesterday highlights his ineptitude.

Perry obviously struggled out of the gate, but he is a strong leader who could do a lot of good in DC

He will stay in and Florida can support him after SC

Sarah Palin (while saying it was a good catch for Santorum to get the evangelical nod yesterday) said this election is about JOBS.

Gov. Rick Perry is the JOBS candidate with all the other bonafides to boot.

I watched it and I can say he had the crowd clapping and very engaged. He was able to articulate states rights and talk about the EPA and how it is out of control. How the EPA has been affecting Texas and how he is for small govt.. He will get a bump from this I do believe.

Exactly. If we run scared from Romney and kill off the best candidates to satisfy the notion that Romney is unstoppable at 35%, we’ll take the flavor of the month that is already losing steam.

I like Perry but he isn’t ready for this election.

It will be hard for the MSM and Fox to give Gov. Perry fair coverage of this, as they have Mitt teed up to run against Obama.

Gov. Perry didn’t play “party politics” with the GOP establishment and he is being “punished” by the Bush-Rove machine. The party is making an example of him. Nicki Haley knows how the game is played.

Tea Party conservatives need to stand with Gov. Perry. He has been with them from the start and his executive record encompasses all they espouse.

The Florida straw poll protest vote for Herman Cain (after the debate) started this flavor of the month cycle.

Conservative voters need to hit the re-set button and rally for Perry against Romney and Paul. It would be a beautiful surge.

You are uninformed. Rick Perry is the first Texas governor to cut spending since WWII. There are close to 1300 people moving to Texas daily and that will add the need for services but the state has a favorable atmosphere for business -- low regulations, litigation and taxes. Almost half of all the jobs filled in the 50 United States happened in Texas.

I still have differences with Rick Perry, but he did well tonight. He didn’t have any gaffes, and no one asked him problematic questions.

We need to work on your passive-aggressive posting style. LoL You sound like the MSM -- every Perry article begins with at least 2 paragraphs recounting his early debates and discounting him before moving on to make some remark about the campaign.
