Is Joan Walsh The Most Bigoted Journalist in Media?
Breitbart and Newsmax ^ | 1/15/12 | Rusty Weiss (poster)

Posted on 01/15/2012 8:51:43 AM PST by Baynative

In a piece titled, “When white people lack “bourgeois values,” the Salon Editor at Large manages a race and class-baiting exacta, covering an alleged economic disdain shown by Republicans towards African-Americans, and charging the GOP with promoting policies which “shackle women to the home.”

"It’s a fascinating worldview that colors the entire GOP primary campaign, in which actual policies to help workers and families are rejected in favor of those that cut government and shackle women to the home, and it needs to be better understood.

It’s also another reminder that the prejudice and disdain Republicans once reserved for African-Americans has spread like a toxic mist to stigmatize a lot of other people, including a lot of white folks." -Joan Walsh

One should go on Salon to see the enemy. I always write there to chide Joanie and the rest of the leftist louts. It is fun and they fume when they are challenged. And who cares what Joan writes as long as someone refutes her. Perhaps thousands read her pap but if one answers , it is still worth the read.

This sort of projection is unique to the liberal community. I see it a lot in my area that is populated by a lot of extreme liberals. Many of them judge everyone and everything by color. But, if a comment is made that exposes racial bias, they are quick to label the person making the comment a racist.

While many of theses people seem likely to have voted for Obama mainly because of his race, they will accuse anyone who opposes him or his wife as doing so because they are racist. But, if a comment is made supporting Clarence Thomas, Allen West or Herman Cain just watch the sharp knives come out and the invectives start flying.

It supports the position that among liberals minorities are to be given a special place as long as they are either dependent on the government or liberal in their political views. Conservative and successful minorities are judged through a different prism.

LMOA! I love this comment someone made on that site:

"If liberals are supposed to be the smart ones, how come they believe so many stupid things?"

LOL! So true! Reminds of that saying "The truly insane don't know that they are"..Fits perfectly with the libs.

Garth? It's LORD Garth!

White liberals who write about race are only projecting their own racist attitudes onto others. I guarantee you this wench lives in a a white dominated neighborhood and her closest acquaintances are all white. It’s just the way liberals are, hypocrites.

And I havent even gotten to why she needs to not smile for the camera.

And when she’s not race-baiting her readers, Walsh breaks out the class warfare rhetoric:

Good comment. I can’t get inside their heads but I note that several leftists I have met have atrocious attitudes and have committed atrocious acts themselves. This seems to translate into having to create a foil (conservative stereotype) that is more evil than they themselves are so their self-esteem isn’t destroyed.

For example, their treatment of children, their hiring of incompetents just so they don’t get criticized in their cushy jobs, the votes they cast for people who do awful things, etc.

I am not a psychiatrist but this theory holds up time and again.

Funny how those who don't possess a modicum (or emoticon if you're McLame's spawn) of conservative values, profess to know so much about conservatives.

And I won't even get into her clothing choice, teeth and lack of proper skin care).

Joan is a goof. check out the article that Taranto wrote about her definition of the term “racist” and her subtle use of the aspersion. IMHO, Joan is a race baiter in the same league with Al Sharpton.

Sigh, where to begin.

Ignorance I can fix; stupidity, no one can fix. Here's a tip Joan, only the government can adopt policies that shackle people. It was the government that enforced the laws that allowed slavery. It is the government that legally prohibits people from the right of contract under the pretense that they are protecting us. Joan, no one has a right to something they didn't earn. Taking money from people who earned it and giving it to people who didn't earn it and whose only claim to it is " need" cannot be called "generosity" if the money isn't yours and I'm betting damned little of it is yours.

That "shackle women to the home"?

I was a stay-at-home mom for about 15 years. I raised two kids, made dinners from scratch, made hot breakfasts for my kids everyday before school, and packed their lunches with real food, while visiting with my kids in the morning. Once the kids were off to school, the day was pretty much mine, until they got home. I guess my husband must have forgotten to pick up my shackles and take away my car keys.

"I don’t know how these people can live with their lies?"

There are two parts to that equation. The first as pointed out in #7 and #8 (on this thread) is that they tend to live in a closed environment where they are largely insulated from opposing points of view, so they don't think they are lying.

The second part is (judging from the liberals I am acquainted with) that everything in their lives is political - everything. They are consumed with controlling and directing all that goes on and strongly adhere to the ideal of "think globally and act locally". In pursuit of their greater goals they believe that any means justifies the end because their end goal is the proper goal for all. Therefore their proclivity for character assassination, voter fraud, violent demonstrations and social intimidation are all acceptable. In the end everyone will be better off, they think, when we all adhere to the teachings of Mao and the tactics of Alinsky.

I think the problem in their flawed reasoning is that liberalism never sleeps. The community organizers (read: street agitators) need social unrest to generate support ...to justify their existence. At some point when their great objective is achieved, the only thing to do will be turn around and go back the other way.

I read a history of the Weather Underground that detailed one of their meetings where terrorists Bill Ayers and Bernadine Dohrn were talking about "bringing it all down". Someone asked what they would do when the government finally collapsed and the room fell silent. No one really thought about the end game policy. Finally, someone spoke and said, "Then we'll have to rebuild it all. But, this time we'll be in charge."

I think we are closer to finding out what that brave new world will look like than many people realize.

Why do serious lefties choose a luxury sounding name like Salon.com?

older lefty names like Mother Jones, Utne Reader, The Progressive and New Republic sound more relevant to the purpose

Salon sounds squishy like

Women like Walsh are the single biggest reason for where we are right now.

The single biggest thing that put us here in recent history were the Warren Court and parts of the Burger court.

this mess has been long in the making originally by liberal men in black roads

and nurtured by empowered liberal women who are for the most part women who were neglected in more traditional opportunities
