There were other principled men that stood alongside America who opposed Churchill in this.

He cannot go and say that it was the ‘spirit of the age’ that was responsible. Other men made other choices from the exact same spot as Churchill.

CNN. I will go with that.

The way I see it he was forced out of congress from the liberals who hated him for getting things done. The repubs were scared of the media & the other rinos could cared less. A fine to him about writing a book. Wow. Now, they all do it. Yes, he’s been there though he is a brillant person who I think the nation needs at this crossroads.

“Why would anyone choose “Obama-lite” (Romney) when they could have the real thing?”

Good one.

Oh, save us the histrionics!

“...After only four years with his Party still in power, his own members forced him out...”

Oh yeah, and many of those Republicans are still in Congress. They are part of the ongoing problem of business as usual in Washignton, D.C.

Under a Republican president, they added over $3 trillion to the federal deficit, shunned conservative policy in favor of Beltway influence-peddling, and so damaged the GOP brand that we lost the majority Gingrich had worked years to forge.

Do you really think I give a damn that Newt’s fabulous colleagues think his reemergence would be a disaster for Republicans? No.

The elections of 2010 were NOT a merit promotion; the Republicans were the only alternative in town!

He has done more to put Ronald Reagan’s conservative policies into government practice than anyone else presently running for the Republican Party presidential nominee position. I usually ignore endorsements, as they’re usually quid pro quo arrangements, but Gingrich is now endorsed by Michael Reagan, Art Laffer, and numerous other former Reagan administration officials.

Newt Gingrich is pro-life, pro-2nd Amendment and loves America and understands its citizens. As a historian, he thoroughly knows the U.S. Constitution and our nation’s history.

He allied himself with Ronald Reagan to build the Reagan Coalition, the Religious Right, and the Republican majority (together the Reagan Revolution) which directly led the downfall of the Soviet Union, the Contract with America, government reforms, less government, tax cuts, a balanced budget, and the great, long-standing Reagan economy.

A grandson of Charles Darwin filibustered the eugenics bill — works for me. God has a weird sense of humor.

When and where did Aldo Santorum naturalize as a US Citizen?

Strong words from Santorum. I’m so glad to hear it. Rick is going full-throttle and God bless him for it.

If gasoline really goes to $4+ this summer, any Republican will beat Obama. If it doesn’t go to $4+, that will mean the economy is so bad that any Republican will beat Obama. The man’s contract is up and he’s outta there.

You are nit picking, Ben.

*****************************************************

Now that the Republican Presidential Primary has wound down to two frontrunners who can win, I would like to publicly endorse the proven conservative speaker of the House Newt Gingrich as the most qualified candidate to become the next president of the United states. His record in office has a near unbroken record of Conservative commitment to the Judeo/Christian principles that have made this the greatest nation in the history of he world.

I have known him for over thirty years and acknowledge he is not perfect, none of us is. But when it comes to standing for life, moral values for our nation, a sound fiscal program for both business and the family and commitment to the U.S. constitution, I believe he can be counted on to do what is right for America, here at home and abroad. He unashamedly opposes the socialistic policies of taking from the haves and give to the have nots that has never worked anywhere to lift a country economically, morally or in any other way except dictatorship and the loss of freedom.

And he can win! Obama’s teleprompter cannot compete with him, neither can anyone else. I can’t wait to see the president try to debate him. And these are only some of the reasons I endorse him as the next president of the United States.

Dr. Tim LaHaye

Minister/author/Christian educator

“Romney is basically a parody candidate. If you took all of the stereotypes that the Left promulgates about Republicans”

Absolutely. ISN’T THIS OBVIOUS? OBAMA WILL DESTROY MITTENS!

Why would anyone vote for him knowing what the Obama machine will do?

The guy has 15 mansions, one in San Diego on the beach because he likes the sound of the ocean at night.

Makes me think the GOP power brokers figure Obama is a shoe in and they just want to try to win other races, booking for 2016.

-"A years supply of sweater vests?"

LOL. I saw him when he did that. He's such a 'lightweight'. I agree on many of his positions, but he's not the right person for this important job. The freakishly terrible position that we find ourselves in, is that none of these candidates are 'tier 1' candidates. This is 1996 all over again. This is absolutely and utterly insane.

The campaign with Obama vs. Romney would be a very rowdy, loud cat fight. The disgust factor might end up robbing both parties of substantial numbers of votes.

Yeah it does.

And given what he’s said about Catholics in the past, I’m not sure this endorsement helps Newt.
