Hearing to begin for voter ID challenge
Wisconsin State Journal ^ | 1-15-12

A judge is scheduled to hear arguments this week about the constitutionality of Wisconsin's new voter photo identification law.

Supporters argue the Republican-authored law will help curtail fraud. Opponents counter the law disenfranchises groups of people who likely don't have identification, such as the poor, minorities and the disabled.

The League of Women Voters filed a lawsuit in Dane County against Gov. Scott Walker and state election officials challenging the law. The group argues the state constitution bars only children, felons and the mentally incompetent from voting and the Legislature improperly prohibited a new class of people — namely, those without IDs — from voting.

The state Justice Department has filed a motion to dismiss the case.

Judge Richard Niess is set to hear arguments on Thursday.

At least the law has been changed, so many suits can be filed in the county of origin. It forced the Government Accountability Board to make some effort to ensure the recall signatures were legit once a suit was filed in Waukesha county.

The “League” has always been a pinko left-wing group—the name is just a front to make the uninformed drones think they are a civic-minded bunch.

There, fixed it.

All of these suits are filed in Dane County ... is it a simpering bed of liberal scum?

In a word, yes.

Christians, time to pray and fast that Wisconsin does the right thing as it is likely to have far reaching effects.

Eph 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high [places].

Ok Let me get this straight, you need a valid I.D. to Buy:

1. Cigarettes
2. Liquor
3. Cold medicine containing Pseudoephindrine
4. Spray Paint
5. Model Glue

But not to vote for someone who’s will be voting and representing you in matters of:

1. Taxation
2. Regulation
3. Judgeships
4. Heads of extremely important Government agencies.
5. etc.

Correct? So what’s the more important thing to need a valid I.D. for?

Identification is required to ascertain whether the potential voter is a minor, a felon or an incompetent.

Still, Indiana already won the case several years back at the US Supreme Court.

Demanding presentatin of a photo ID is not unconstitutional.

What this LWV cr*p is called is "political street theatre". It hasno purpose beyond making noise that rivets your attention and brings the black robed Fascist princes back into the picture.

The LWV should pay for all the costs for both sides and for the taxpayers.

the FEDERAL bankruptcy court REQUIRES petitioners appear at the first meeting of creditors with a GOVERNMENT ISSUED PHOTO ID in order to prove identity.

This is to prevent bankruptcy fraud via identity.

This is government action, court rules.
