The majority of it is stupidity and a belief that someone will come along and save them from themselves and enable them to end up continuing this. No matter how bad things get, there is this belief that someone will come along, make all the hard decisions, and then end up enabling them to avoid the unpleasant. This is why I sometimes think that it’s best that the US crash, so that way these types finally grow up and stop forcing us to live in their dream world.
I kind of agree with you, we the host are forced to toly as slaves to their Goverment. This is why there was a requirement that governments have the consent of the Governed.
A requirement completely abolished by Abraham Lincoln in his war of conquest, leaving is where we are today under the yoke of a “unconditional union” with parasitic & oppressive thieves.
Compete collapse does seem preferable to continued bondage at times. At least then maybe our children will have a chance at real freedom & self-determination as our forefathers had.
