Can’t win so long as Iowa-wundertard boy Ricky Santorum is selfishly splitting the vote.

Then go cry about it somewhere. It appears that Newt has a ceiling of support and there's not a darn thing he can do about it.

Meanwhile, Santorum is out there attacking Romney, picking up important endorsements, and getting the ear of the voters effectively.

If Newt and his minions would join in on the Romney attacks even more vigorously and leave off Santorum, he might actually gain some ground.

This is ALL about knocking off the guy who, according to the polls, is the frontrunner.

The only explanation for it is that Obama is right.
***Another explanation is that polls can’t be trusted.

Hey back, Christie. No, it was a terrible day,, and today is starting even worse. Since this poll, I’m on my 2nd glass of vino- and I don’t even like to drink! -:)

But heck, in just a couple of months you and your family can get to the beach. -:)

Heh, ain’t that the truth.

Seeing so many wannabe-capitalists around here and elsewhere, defending bailouts and cronyism as legitimate free-market enterprise… and I get called a damn OWS liberal now for arguing that corporate welfare is backdoor socialism.

Un-f’ing-believeable.

There is something to be said for the fact that the American people seem to want socialism. Many old people want their Medicare/SS and many young people want free college education, free health care, etc. But there is also something to be said for the fact the media didn’t vet Obama and hasn’t vetted Romney. The “conservative” media is even more in the tank for Romney than the liberal media was for Obama. When the opposing candidates get slimed in a massive media pile-on and almost nothing bad gets said about the winning candidate, it’s hard to see how the elections could turn out any differently. People should investigate the candidates on their own, but we can’t expect everyone to find a political forum like this and spend hours on it every week, which is what it took to get the truth about Obama and takes to get the truth about Romney.

I am with you-he always takes the easy path.

No way, he should endorse Romney.

Bleh. You are constantly running down Santorum on every thread you can find. Why doesn’t Newt back down? He has been bested in every contest so far by Santorum.

If Santorum beats Newt again in SC, are you going to call for your man to step away from the fight and suspend his campaign?

maybe I missed something but it seems to me Newt has been attacking Romney and the blow back for doing so was intense. The attack on Bain did not seem to be very effective but Newt has not backed off. Correct me if I am wrong.

What in the world are you talking about? Newt and Perry have been vigorously attacking Romney while Santorum has been sitting on the sidelines letting them do the dirty work. He doesn’t look like a fighter now, so why would we expect him to be one against Obama? Santorum is the one who attacked Newt this week. Newt and Perry haven’t gone after Santorum in any noticeable way.

Paul and Newt are the only real small government fiscal conservatives left, and I worry about Newt.

Worried about Newt?

You need to worry more about yourself if you count Newt Gingrich as a small government fiscal conservative!

LOL!!!

I base my views on Rick Santorum’s record here in PA.

Loyal to the GOP Establishment from the day he worked for a state senator nicknamed “Jake the Snake.”

Supporter of Arlen Specter for President in 1996, not to mention Arlen Specter for Senate 1998 and 2004.

Flew to Alaska to twist the local pro-life organization in 2004 so they wouldn’t endorse a Pro-Life Republican over Pro-Abortion Lisa Murkowski in a GOP Senate primary.

In the 2010 race for US Senate when Murkowski won as a write-in, Santorum said it was OK that the Pro-Abortion candidate won, because “she would vote with the Republicans.

RICK SANTORUM NEEDS TO SPECIFICALLY ATTACK ROMNEY FOR HIS MASSACHUSETTS COMMENTS SAYING HE BELIEVED IN A ‘WOMAN’S RIGHT TO CHOOSE’ THAT HAVE NOW TURNED INTO ‘I’VE ALWAYS BEEN PRO-LIFE’ COMMENTS.

WHICH MITT ROMNEY IS TELLING THE TRUTH? WILL RICK THE ‘PRO LIFE CHAMPION’ CONFRONT HIM ON THAT OR IS RICK REALLY THE CHAMPION OF THE POLITICAL INSIDERS?

If Romney wins SC by a large margin, every candidate except maybe Ron Paul will be suspending their campaign.

If you are trying to insinuate that Rick Santorum is secretly pro-abortion, I would submit to the readers out there that you may be smoking crack.

The difference between us Tea Partiers and the Occupiers is that the Occupiers think the “little guy” should get bailed out with socialism. The Tea Partiers think neither the “little guy” nor the elites should get bailed out with socialism.
******************

Jedi, “I” know what the difference is!!!! The “conservative” commentariat, and some on the board, have failed to see the distinction- and that includes Mr. Limbaugh who trashed 2 good conservatives for trying to articulate that distinction.

The occupiers killed the tea pary movement— and that was the “genius” of Mr. Obama. And, it’s extremely disspirting that so many on the board got suckered into it.
