I could vote for that.
“Still plenty of time for his wife to tell him different. Just like before.”
I have no comment to your comment. I just wanted people to see your comment again. Take it for what it’s worth. I may even post it again so everyone can see the mentality.
Agreed. I may not have always agreed with CW, especially at the very beginning, but as time went on I grew to seriously respect her. Perry was blessed to have someone like you CW, and when he runs next (and he will) the same will hold. God bless you CW. Same goes for Shield.
Ha, the Conservative AND Rebuplican party is officially dead.
We now will have the choice of a left of center RINO, Romney.... Or an amoral slug of a man who has no political philosophy, Newt!
Reality TV now has more substance than we do.
Oh please...She’ll just come off as a bitter hag. The media is stupid if they hit it.
Happy belated birthday to you! :)
LOL: a loser endorses a loser. Look, Newt’s finished.
Morally, to ask your wife to approve an ongoing affair with another woman is wrong.
It’s also really, really stupid. Henry Hyde used to say Newt was 1/2 genius and 1/2 crackpot. Henry Was Right.
It’s down to Santorum and Mittens.
We’ve known for a long time that Newt had baggage. I wanted to believe the best about him, that the hospital-bed divorce request story was bogus, as it appears to have been. I wanted to belive the best. But the open marriage thing simply is not acceptable. And it’s recent, not decades ago.
Entering into the affair with Callista was wrong. And stupid. Thinking you can run for president having done that and done it brazenly was stupid. Newt has wasted our time and crippled the stop-Romney movement.
He and his ego have a lot to answer for.
You hope, you hope, that is the current newt spin, no one knows yet do they.
That would be great. Just imagine the possibilities for downsizing.....
May God grant us strength and wisdom.

For better or worse, Perry had to go. He is a human gaffe machine on the order of Biden, but he will never get the free pass on it from the media like Plugs gets. I don’t underestimate the importance of the Presidential debates and the value of having a good debater nominated as President. McCain lost the presidency in the first five minutes of the first debate. Newt would not do the same, he could win the presidency in five minutes. Romney would do better than Perry against 0bama (but I’d hate to see it come to that).
Perry would have been a face-palm candidate.
Look at their accomplishments. Newt allied himself with Ronald Reagan to build the Reagan Coalition, the Religious Right, and the Republican majority (together the Reagan Revolution) which directly led the downfall of the Soviet Union, the Contract with America, government reforms, less government, tax cuts, a balanced budget, and the great, long-standing Reagan economy.
Romney, on the other hand, vehemently denied Ronald Reagan and aligned himself with Ted Kennedy and the left. Romney accomplished installing liberal big government programs, defended and promoted Roe v Wade and legalized abortion as settled law, advocated and implemented RomneyCare with its liberty killing government mandates against formerly free citizens and its taxpayer funded or subsidized and mandated abortion procedures. He ran and governed to the left of Ted Kennedy on the gay agenda resulting in gay marriage in Massachusetts. He appointed liberal judges and liberal appointees throughout his government. Under his leadership conservatism and the Republican party was all but destroyed in Massachusetts.
Romney is one evil liberal progressive. No way in hell will MittBots be allowed to support this abortionist, big government, socialist scumbag on FR!
Guess my message isnt clear enough. I have to keep repeating it and zotting would be MittBots.

Back in 1995, after the takeover of the House, I remember some congressman from Wisconsin beating the drums for the Log Cabin Republicans and how Pubblies needed to embrace “conservative gays.” I remember distinctly how Newt chose to publicly endorse the guy.
I remember telling my friends, for all the good Newt has done, if he cannot see how the gay movement is a daggar aimed at the heart of himself and his party, then he’s not trustworthy as a leader of conservatives. He’ll go for what he thinks will gain power rather than for principles.
I was not surprised, then, when Newt endorsed Scozzyfavie in New York. I had already seen that he was insufficiently principled and too susceptible to “pragmatism” (which in the long run often ends up being very unpractical—in the long run, principles actually win).
Already in 1995 I told friends that the gay issue would morph into persecution of Christians who refused to bend on gay marriage, that the beliefs of those Christians would be criminalized, and that Gingrich did not “get it” about the sexuality issues. My friends laughed. Persecution of Christians in America? Never will happen.
Well, it’s here. And Newt still doesn’t get it.
I admire the 1/2 genius side of Newt. He’s done a lot of good.
But if conservatives can’t see how he is simply not suitable to carry the flag in a national election, how his baggage destroys him, then we are in for a helluva ride.
I’m afraid Santorum is the only not-Romney left. Whatever weaknesses he has, those who are admanantly not-Romney need to think hard about destroying Santorum in favor of Newt. Because they’ll end up with Mittens.
Do you have a point?
If your house is on fire, will you sit in moral judgment of the men who come to put the fire out, or will you welcome them?
The Country is in trouble. We all fall short of the Glory of God.
Cut out the “St. Peter at the Gate” routine.
Rick Perry is a good man to do this for the conservative movement. The GOP wing of the Dem party is not happy which makes me happy. This might put Newt over the top in SC.
If Santorum comes in low in SC, he should get out and endorse Newt, too.
Yeah, we should ignore the global warming believing, big government loving amoral pussy hound behavior. Because we all know once he is in office he will change.
What pill are you idiots taking?
