In that part of the world as well as most of the middle east, being female is not a good thing. Those who do live have little to live for. Not that I’m condoning infanticide, but maybe some of them these people think they’re committing mercy killings.

I have two girls, now ages 19 and 15. Watching the trailer for “It’s a Girl” broke my heart. I just can’t fathom that kind of senseless and heartless mentality.
Moms and Dads, give your kids a big hug today.
For India and China, and any other nations that condone this practice, we should allow no immigration to the US, or at a minimum only immigration of equal numbers of male and females in similar age groups.
Many men of these nations will absolutely try to leave for nations where they are more likely to find mates, thus transferring the male/female imbalance to other nations.
My brother only had boys.
After watching our sisters care for our aged and dying parents, my brother commented that I got the better deal. I'll have my girls to care for me at the end. My brother is just hoping for a decent daughter-in-law.
I can imagine the mind-set of people that kill children. All cultures are NOT equal.

I wouldn’t be able to watch the movie.. hits too close to home. We have one adopted Chinese daughter and she is just a joy and blessing to us. She was one of the “lucky” ones. Her bio parents took a great risk and placed her in a location where she was found. I will admit that there are times when I look at her beautiful, angelic face and wonder... how many of her sisters were left behind or buried? How many more little girls were smothered in buckets of white ash simply because they were born a girl? Just too sad for me.

Okey dokee..but at some point all those boy babies will need a girl partner.
Well, only if they want babies, I guess.
I did get to give my youngest a hug today. She stopped by to pick up a book. :)
The other one is 2K miles away, so hugs are less frequent. :(.
But grandbabies are plenty, smart and cute. So I get a net win.

Sorry guys, but I have to sit this one out. Three of my five kids are daughters. I don’t want to watch the trailer, even. But I completely agree that the mere idea is evil and abhorrent, much less the practice of infanticide such as this.
That’s the problem. The boys will want girls, but if there are not enough girls, the competition becomes intense and the aggression level rises enormously. A society with too many males is virtually always a society on its way to war...
One of the many problems with Islam is that polygamy reduces the number of available females per male, since a smaller number of more powerful, richer or older males have taken a disproportionate number of the females in any given age bracket. Many Muslim men know that they will never marry and have children because they simply don’t have the status and power to get one of the few available women. This encourages homosexuality in the short term, but overall leads to despair and anger. It’s also one of the things that makes them so willing to run out and kill themselves while attempting to kill the evil Westerners who don’t live by their bizarre laws.
There’s a difference, albeit small, between aborting a fetus, and strangling a newborn.
Yes, we have an abortion problem in this country, but thank goodness we don’t have any form of infanticide problem.
All women should get on their knees and give thanks to God and Judeo/Christian Ethics. Christianity gave respect and honor to women by promoting Mary as the Mother of God and giving her a special place of honor.
Christianity got rid of slavery and elevated everyone to a place of dignity and worth-—it is responsible for Common Law—Individual Rights and the right to vote, etc.
The Romance era and chivalry—all because of Christianity-—the respect is being destroyed by Marxist/feminist/homosexual/agendas which want all people to be like an ant colony—egalitarianism-—no special anything—reduce them to copulating, sterile animals—no teleological ends—no Design by God.
All other cultures STINK when it comes to respecting women and giving them dignity and honor. Homosexual cultures are the worst (Afghanistan, Samurai/Japan).—but the Marxists/feminists are trying to destroy that respect -—which only comes from being a child of God.
Really?
BTW, looking at the numbers, the US aborts about EIGHT times more humans than India, per capita.
