Mike Pence has never once had unfaithful problems with either he or his wife-AND his pro life, and pro marriage bonafieds are well known.. Mitch-not so much pro traditional marriage (he’s not anti-but I know for a fact he’s a homosexuality supporter).

I agree that Romney is cold-blooded and that Ron Paul is a nut case.

However, I also know that Paul is a libertarian, and that a libertarian will default to a the notion that a woman should be in control of her own body.

I don’t, therefore, think those rankings are accidental.

I LOVE the idea of a brokered convention, though the convention will be loaded with GOP apparatchicks-—unless conservative activists get active in the ACTUAL delegate selection..

Paul is not a perfect Libertarian either, and he has no reputation for Libertinism or Liberalism.

He does not fit into neat categories that can be easily matched against current legislative agendas.

People also mis-speak and sometimes make statements you think actually apply to other, but unrelated situations.

“Mr Gorbachev tear down this wall” still brings chills and a tear to my eyes.

Oh,yes...me too. I miss that man so very much. The only thing close to him was Sarah Palin, and she's out. I fear for my country and where it's going. I just wanna scream when I watch these conventions and see how these candidates go after each other over insignificant things, yet not enough on issues of the day and what plans they can put forward to turn things around. All signal and no substance.

That being said, the only one I think has even the slightest chance of taking out 0bama is Gingrich. That's where i'm headed.

I have a friend who claims that Ron Paul is his hero. I think he has resigned himself to Paul losing again. I told him that Rand Paul is probably more likely to gain real political prominence someday, and that Ron’s greatest danger is somehow ruining that for his son.

I tell him that one of Ron Paul’s greatest detriments is his inability to communicate. He rants about how that shouldn’t be a factor. The fact is, though, that it’s reality.

And I don’t think I’m wrong focusing on Naral. If they’re pleased at Paul voting their way, then I’m suspicious. Those things don’t easily happen consistently and accidentally at the same time.

Okay, I had to look up sur·feit: I like your well thought out reply.
I hope you're right.

It's my opinion that Karl Rove, and Dick "the toe-sucker" Morris are the "bane" of the Republican Party.

I truely hope you're right.br

There is a Cold Civil War on....between We the People in Flyover Country...advocating hard for the freedoms guaranteed by Constitutional Government...and the East-tablishment Rinocracy/Democrats-

The latter, essentially fused as one in their boundless appetite for Communism/Socialism...enthusiastic to the degree each “side” anticipates the power that comes with their potential control of the Freedoms of Flyover Country..

A “brokered” convention will indeed make it all evident...

“...to the psyche of this nation if out of the GOP Convention came a young, fresh face”

the ONLY “fresh face” the establishment it in ends to let out of a brokered convention has a Bush around its neck.

Thats ALL this is about...

If Gingrich is way out in front...Jebby will be his “
VP”.....

"the 7th Governor of Illinois in a row to end up involved in crime."

Question: "Why is Rod Blagojevich still not in prison?

Answer: "Because there are no empty cells in the Illinois governors' cell block."

Naral are made up mostly of physicians in Connecticut, and abortionists nationwide. The greater number of them vote overwhelmingly for Joseph Lieberman.

The world does not nestle in little boxes that are readily understood.

I agree, mostly. However, names like Gingrich get bandied about so much, and have for years, that it sort of seeps into what passes for the brains of the average plebe. Santorum would definitely go over the heads of many Wal Mart customers.

Sorry.

I used to listen to Rush years ago, but it hasn’t fit into my life in years.

Honestly, it wasn’t so much the bashing of Newt and Perry that bothered me (though that did bother me — I happen to think they are both right; capitalism is great, but not if it’s making people homeless just so you can make even MORE millions). What bothered me was that he was not just defending Romney, he was outright promoting Romney.

Again, sorry, but I was shocked that Rush would promote Romney, and that lost a lot of my respect for him.

I think you're misreading or misunderstand Rush.
I don't think he was promoting Romney, so much as he was just trying to explain Romney's logic and strategy.
I don't remember Rush endorsing or promoting anyone, yet.

WHAT is he talking 'bout? Are you fucking nuts? Rush is an ass-hat a-waiing for a bloviate. YOU are NOT on the same page as us. RUSH is NOT on the same page as US. Rush'll come out totally bashing "us". You watch what Rush does...

As a young boy I watched Reagan as host of THE GENERAL ELECTRIC THEATER. I was always captured by his short conservative talk that he would give during each show. He lost that job the same month I signed up for the Navy, May of 1962. There was always something about his voice and manner that set him apart from the other actors of his day even though some of them greatly outdid him in Hollywood. He really was the “Great Communicator”.

“Unless, of course, the GOP elites secretly want another four years of nobama destroying our country.”
/////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

“Foil (literature), a subsidiary character who emphasizes the traits of a main character. A technique also used in plays and motion pictures”

“A Comedic (or comic) foil, is the straight man in a comedy double act.”

They CERTAINLY don’t believe that Romney will beat Obama and restore America to its former glory, therefore there are only two real possibilities. Either just what you said or they DO believe Romney can win for whatever reason and they know more of what goes on behind the scenes than we can hope to and they plan on Romney rubber stamping all the damage already done by Obama. The Republican establishment is far from being the enemy of the left, they are more of a “foil” as defined in the quotation above. In my view Fox News which started out as a real alternative to the leftward slanted propaganda on the other TV “news” shows has moved gradually leftward until it is little more than a foil for the lies of CNN, MSNBC etc. It is amazing how the silly people on the left bemoan the “lies” on Fox News when Fox more and more just repeats the same garbage available on the left leaning channels.
