Kansas slashes food aid for children of illegal immigrants
The Kansas City Star ^ | Jan. 22, 2012 | LAURA BAUER

Pedro moved to the Kansas City area about 13 years ago and has held the same job for 11. Though he sometimes struggles to pay bills, he knows most people think he should receive no public aid. He’s an illegal immigrant. He doesn’t deserve handouts. He understands that. “I’ve never asked for anything for myself,” said Pedro, who didn’t want his last name used to protect his family. “Never. I just work. Work hard.” A new debate swirling around Kansas, though, isn’t about Pedro. It’s about two of his three children. They were born here, and one day they will have driver’s licenses and the right to vote, just like any other U.S. citizen. Early last year, when they needed food assistance, they got it. Pedro’s family received nearly $300 a month in food stamps. Enough to buy milk, eggs and meat, fruit and yogurt. Now, they get nothing. Neither do hundreds of other Kansas families who, like Pedro’s, are a mix of undocumented immigrants and U.S. citizens.

At a time when Gov. Sam Brownback has vowed to reduce child poverty, the Kansas Department of Social and Rehabilitation Services — a state agency the governor controls — made a policy change that eliminated food stamps for hundreds of low-income U.S. children whose parents are illegal immigrants. For more households, benefits were reduced. “I have to wonder if the governor is really on board with the policy,” said Sister Therese Bangert of the Sisters of Charity of Leavenworth. “I wonder if he understands the ramifications of this policy, if he understands what’s happening to the children.” The governor’s office did not return several calls and email requests for comment.

"No other president has appointed an individual who was colluding with a foreign country try to undermine the safety and security of US citizens."

OBAMA APPOINTS LA RAZA LOBBYIST CELIA MUNOZ TO KEY WH JOB We now have the most racist and divisive President in history. No other president has appointed an individual who was colluding with a foreign country try to undermine the safety and security of US citizens.

"La Raza" is a racist and anti-American organization. It's core goal is to overwhelm the American Southwest with illegal immigrants from Mexico who will eventually cause the region to break away from the US and become Mexican territory. In addition, "La Raza" has a more general leftist, pro-Islamist, anti-Western civilization global bias, as can readily be gleaned from the writings and statements of its leaders past and present. They're very much in tune with Zero's ideology.

======================================

The arrogance is palpable----Raza Studies does not even try to sugar-coat its anti-America agenda and its bloodthirsty plans to kill us off:

One Raza Studies textbook titled “Occupied America,” by Rodolfo Acuña, includes a violent and blood- curdling speech given by university professor Jose Angel Gutierrez: “We have got to eliminate the gringo, and what I mean by that is if the worst comes to the worst, we have got to kill him,” (pg. 323).

This is taken directly from Occupied America (pg. 167): “Supporters would execute all white males over age 16,” (this is AKA the Plan of San Diego).

America-hating Raza Studies teach violence and undermining US ntl security----and preaches the need for Mexico to "re-take seven states in the Southwest...in order to make the SW a Chicano nation.

Course, if you oppose this, you are "heartless"....../s.

NOTE WELL: Adelita Grijalva is the woman on the Arizona school board pimping La Raza/LULAC/Mecha/MALDEF indoctrination programs in Tuscon schools.

Adelita is all up in arms about Raza Studies getting tossed via the AZ state legislature's action...she is the daughter of Raul Grijalva (D-AZ-7) who was just narrowly re-elected to our US Congress.

Raul Grijalva is one of Mexico’s most productive and loyal representatives in our Congress....aiding and abetting building a Third World on US soil.

Pedro stole a job from an American citizen and his family and collects food stamps and welfare. Still can’t make it here and needs to return home to Mexico.

Pedro’s family received nearly $300 a month in food stamps. Enough to buy milk, eggs and meat, fruit and yogurt.

And that money, being fungible, now lets Pedro spend his other money for $300 worth of lobster and tequila. How stupid do these liberal newsrooms think their readers are? ...Oh wait. They helped get America to elect a freaking Al Sharpton-style "community organizer" from Chicago as President of the United States and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces.

Nevermind.

How about all those poor hungry maleducated kids in Mexico? What’s the difference between them and the Mexican kids in Kansas and Alabama? Are we so heartless as to deny them adequate food and education? It’s racist to deny them their due as human beings!

The bigger the government the more corruption and the less that Rule of Law is relevant. Big government means that bureaus and agencies and burearocrats and clerks have to sign off on more and more things that people do. When something is up to a bureaucrat, a person who has no direct interest in what is being done, then that bureaucrat’s desires must be satisfied before the thing may be done. That means expensive hoops and regulations to follow and always comes with bribery to avoid all the hoops and coercion because the clerk knows he has you by the throat and can get more from you than what the regulations state.

Deport this bum. He is illegal. Take everything he has because he has earned it illegally. His children can return through proper channels when they are of age because (if they were born here) they are citizens. Deport him now!

There’s something I’ve never understood about ‘anchor babies’.

Why is it that a foreign visitor can visit the U.S. legally, with his pregnant wife, and if she has the baby here, their child is NOT an American citizen by birth.

And yet, other foreigners, crossing into this country illegally, who have babies, somehow their children are ‘citizens’?

Why doesn’t the foreign visitor rule apply to illegals?

Did anybody catch this , She received a letter saying she would no longer get food stamps for her son. Initially she wondered why.

“Then I came up with my own answer,” Isela said. “It’s because of my lack of status. My lack of papers.”

When she received the notice, she was making $9 an hour and working an average of 38 hours a week with no benefits. Before the policy change, her son qualified for $121 a month in food stamps. That allowed her to buy the fresh fruits and vegetables and lean meat her son’s doctor said he needs.

She is working illegally and making $ 9.00 an hour, have us some document fraud going on here. to buy the fresh fruits and vegetables and lean meat her son’s doctor said he needs. Her dr said, I am sure this same dr told every other kid the same story.

I have zero sympathy for illegal immigrants and their anchor baby scams...... But the children are US citizens so I don’t know how Kansas is able to pull this off. Look for a Federale lawsuit from Thomas Perez scumbag at the Justice Department

How can he be in the country for 13 years and not be in the process of becoming a citizen?
_______________________________________

Hes an illegal alien..

Hes not eligible to become an American citizen...

Hes not in this country legally..

Hes breaking the law every moment he stays..

Hes not potential American citizen material

He doesnt want to obey our laws..

He doesnt respect our Constitution or us...

he could care less about what America stands for..

Thats not why hes here..

If he was fit to be and America citizen he woulod have applied and come in the front door as an immigrant

and not broken the glass of the back door and jimmied the lock..

He didnt sneak into the US with intentions of staying and becoming an asset and responsible as a citizen...

He came here with intentions to lie and cheat and steal...

He came with intentions to get anything for free that he could...

and the fact that he can lie and receive benefits from the US government that American citizens cannot get makes it even sweeter for him...

For example...

Because I paid taxes as a single mother he steals from mothers like me when he lies and demands food stamps for his illegal alien children while paying no taxes...

While I made a dollar or 2 too much to receive food stamps for my American children, he can get them for his illegal alien children...

Who had my back in that ???

Nobody screamed not fair when I didnt receive food stamps..

Nobody whined when my children might have gone hungry..

I ate less myself when it was necessary so my children could eat...

I was under weight...

However theres a lot of fat illegal aliens..

Oh BOO HOO

Poor widdle me...

Rant ended...

Meanwhile the illegal aliens arent short of money to buy expensive things

If they managed their money they would be able to afford food for their illegal alien children

Gosh Nana youre mean...

"At a time when Gov. Notice, this was the policy of KS SRSthat placed the income of an illegal alien at the head of the line to receive food stamps ahead of others in line.

Note to FReepers: former Governor of KS was........wait for it.....Kathleen Sebelius, who is now in charge of your life and health, under Obamacare!

Better check with the "policy" for food stamps with your state to make certain that they are not ordering the same thing - wanna bet that your state has the same policy, no matter who is your governor or state legislature.

This is the problem with all of these gub'mint, "policies" come from on high and most citizens never know what's going on.
