It's little wonder that with such cute faces peering out over the edge of their plastic bowl, these eight abandoned puppies have found new homes.
But their futures could have been a lot bleaker.
The puppies and their mother, a mongrel named Amy, had been found by a farmer stuffed inside a bale of hay on his land in Newark.

Thanks for posting the heartwarmer — hope someone adopts the mommy dog too.
I wonder if God’s going to enjoy what He’s going to do to the world when it’s time or if He’ll be sad or just plain old wrath of God angry.
I think this is as it has always been. In fact, I think in times past it was worse, at least now we have many who rescue and attempt to find homes. In the not too distant past animals, for the most part would have had to fend for themselves, at best. And few would have thought twice about it.
Adorable! I hope the mommy dog gets a loving home as well. Okay, Aldabra... if you could pick just one... which one would it be?!
In my humble opinion, God is LOVE, but hates cruelty. What He does, He does in righteousness. I await His instruction on a daily basis.
I would not do the picking but I would be the one chosen to be the dogs human.

I agree with you, brytlea. My parents were born and raised in a small, coal mining town in Pennsylvania. When they were young (and even adults), people would commonly take newborn kittens and puppies, put them in a bag with a rock and throw them in the creek. My Mom use to tell us how horrible it was if a person had forgotten the rock... many a time, she saw a bag floating down with mewing kittens or crying puppies. Once a year, the local cop would go around town and shoot any stray cats or dogs. He would literally spend the entire day doing it to “cull” the unwanted. No wonder at all that my parents always had pets, many being found or unwanted.

My grandfather, born in the early 20th century, was a very kind hearted man. Because of that, he was often asked by neighbors and family members to do the dirty jobs they didn’t want to do one of which was drowning unwanted kittens.

That is from the picture. In real life, I’d pick the one who chose me.
I think I’d pick the last little black one on the right. I’ve always had a soft spot for the “runts” of the litter. Not sure why but I do. I have the feeling that the mommy dog would mysteriously get into my car as well. It is amazing how many critters have mysteriously gotten into my car over the years!!
