U.S. Rep. Gabrielle Giffords will step down from Congress this week to focus on her recovery, her staff announced Sunday. "I have more work to do on my recovery, so to do what is best for Arizona, I will step down this week," Giffords said in a video message. Giffords, a third-generation Arizonan who served five years in the state Legislature before being elected to the U.S. House of Representatives in November 2006, will not seek re-election this fall. Giffords vowed to return public service. "I will return and we will work together for Arizona and this great country," she said.

He sure does know it all, Mr. Rogers.

By the way, Florida resident, people calling others “dim witted” should learn how to write.

“She could have requested a deputy from Dupnik, or hired her own guard.”

Maybe Dupnik could have provided her a SWAT team. Here in Pima County, the SWAT guys know how to pump out a lot of rounds...they don’t even need to aim:

One of the buffoons tripped and the rest started firing... What a joke we are in the People’s Republic of Tucson and environs.

Yes, Ms. Giffords wants to return to aid POTUS “Muslim Brotherhood” Obama and ultra liberal,Congresswoman, Debbie Wasserman Schulz in the destruction of the American economy and nation. And....yes include Ms. Giffords “dirt bag” hubby, former astronaut Michael Kelly in that mix as he silently stood by while Obama destroyed the NASA, mannned space program, along with causing the layoff of thousands of highly skilled technical workers!!!

I am sorry for Ms. Giffords misfortune, caused by a crazed lunatic. But......her hanging on to her congressional seat was a farce at best, since she was no longer capable of representating her congressional district with any effectivity whatsoever!!

The dismal sales of her book, pushed by her power hungry, greedy husband is proof that most Americans saw through the scam put forth by POTUS Obama, the Democrat Party and the Giffords. Who got cheated and denied service? The voters, citizens and residents of Ms. Giffords congressional district!!! Shame!!!

She should have done this early on, but better late than never. I guess it’s hard for these people to give up power.

I hope Jesse Kelly jumps back in the race for this seat.

I’m amazed the Princess Pelosi permitted her to resign. I hope she recovers, but it was apparent to me when she started having press conferences a few months ago, that she was in no condition to properly server the people in her district. Her only purpose would have been like Harry Byrd was in his final couple of years, to be wheeled in from the hospital to vote to ensure a dimocrat majority vote in the Senate.

I hope that she fully recovers and has a good life.

She is less recovered than she appears, but I wish her well as she continues to heal.

[She is less recovered than she appears]

Definitely. I’ve seen her on TV a number of times and doubt she will ever be back to ‘normal’, but she has a husband who loves her and she seems happy.

It was right for them to wait to see if she could once again take back her position, but it’s obvious she can’t.

I share little in common with her politically, but I wish nothing but the best for her family and her.

That's what conservatives do.

In fact, many of us believe the nicest way we can help our libtard friends is to elect as many conservatives as possible to office.

That way, we have a polite society as well as a society which generates enough resources to help libtrards move out of their fantasyland, if they have the ambition, or generate sufficient tax dollars to enable them to remain within it, if they don't.

Normalizing abnormal behavior only generates more of it and spreads the resources to deal with it thinner.

Ted’s health resulted in him missing a lot of votes and he COULD have stepped aside...

Considering how Teddy Bare would have voted, I give him credit for this last act of genuine public service.

Even if that isn't how he intended it . . .

Best wishes to Gabbie but WARNING: A Tuscon communist sympathizer, Arizona State Senator KYRSTEN SINEMA, has “thrown her hat into the ring to stand for the U.S. House of Representatives from the newly created 9th Congressional District”, according to Trevor Loudon at his “New Zeal” web/blogspot.

It is quite possible that Sinema will change her mind and try to capture Gifford’s seat instead since she is from Tuscon/area and has been a leftist political figure in that center of far-left politics for years.

See: http://www.trevorloudon.com/2012/01/krysten-sinema-communist-connected-arizona-state...

And, of course, the local NBC affiliate in the Twin Cities...(KARE11.com) ran this story with a prominent picture and name-tag of Michele Bachmann.

It’s Michele’s fault.

Bring down the local leftist media before it is too late.

If that is the case, it is up to us as Americans to defeat her in the election. I did find a pic of her with Janet Napolitano:

She's decent looking for the most part and has a good set of hooters on her (hey, I'm a guy, it's my nature) but I always remember the 1966 song, "Secret Agent Man" sung by Johnny Rivers where "a pretty face might hide an evil mind."

Here is a link to the article: http://moonbattery.com/?p=7061

I'd do more research but I got to get up for work at O Dark Thirty, you know, millions on welfare depend on me (and the rest of us).

I hope she recovers as much as possible, and then some. A tragedy that a nut changed her life this way. I am impressed with her for doing this.
