GREENVILLE, S.C. — After Texas Gov. Rick Perry bowed out of the presidential race last week, his senior campaign leaders in South Carolina set to work closing down the three campaign offices, collecting yard signs and dismantling staff. But their most important assignment from Perry, said state campaign chairman Katon Dawson, was to go to work immediately to help former House Speaker Newt Gingrich in his battle to upset former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney in the state’s critical first-in-the South primary.

Ricky Santorum needs to take note here. He’s either out or in it for Mittens

And what the hell are Bachmann and Huntsman doing? Nothing.

What did you expect from Huntsman? He’s Romney’s cousin. He’s giving him money as we speak

“I always thought Rick Perry was a decent man, with scruples.

He was just bad at debating.”

No, he wasn’t....his early debates flopped because he was having post back surgery pain. He healed, and by the time he withdrew from the race, he was excellent.

He was my candidate of choice, and I am very proud of him for knowing when to leave, so that conservatives could start to consolidate. He himself said, “It was never about the person-—it’s about the Constitution.”

Somehow I can’t imagine those words coming out of Romney’s mouth.

You’re right, I saw the admiration that Rick had for Newt also.

Rick Perry is definitely a class act. I would have been happy with either him or Newt.

Perry is a class act. I'm sorry he bowed out. I wish it was Santorum instead. I cannot stand that whiney beta male.
