Let me ask you the following questions.
For the sake of argument, let's say that the party brass manages to get Jeb Bush nominated at a brokered convention.
- Would you stay home, vote third party, vote for Obama, or swallow your fury and vote for Bush?
- How do you think other conservatives would handle those choices?
- How do youi think Republicans of all stripes would handle those choices?
- How do you think the electorate at large would handle those choices?

I’d vote for the Bush (against 0bama),
and work to get TP congressmen elected
who won’t go along with Bush because he’s the “party leader”.

It doesn't matter too much what I would do, the real question is what would average Joe voter that doesn't follow politics as much do.
My guess is it would piss off enough of them that the nominee would lose in a landslide.
In effect what they would be doing is saying the primary voters were too stupid to pick the nominee. Gut luck getting them to the polls in Nov with that plan.

I think most actual voting Republicans would vote for whomever had the R by his name. But the apoliticals will be trickier. I think we need a likable conservative without too much baggage to beat Obama. He doesn’t have to be perfect. He doesn’t have to be a he.
I still think Santorum is ready. If the lack of gay support hurts him that much, we will never see a conservative in the WH again.
(please don’t throw me off FR. I will vote for newt if Santorum isn’t on the ballot)

For the sake of argument, let's say that the party brass manages to get Jeb Bush nominated at a brokered convention. Then I stay home on election day and spend my time reloading and sighting in. As for the rest, it doesn't matter because 0bama will be re-elected. Four more years of this and there won't be any need to worry about which Republican empty suit's "turn" it is in 2016, because there won't be much left to govern.
