Former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich responded to House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, California Democrat, who said on Wednesday night on CNN's John King that Mr. Gingrich would never become President of the United States.
"There is something I know. The Republicans, if they choose to nominate him that's their prerogative," said Congresswoman Pelosi. "I don't even think that's going to happen."
Mr. Gingrich appeared on The Washington Times affiliated radio program "America's Morning News" and forcefully responded to Rep. Pelosi.
"There's almost a level of hysteria about the prospect of somebody who really wants to change Washington," said Mr. Gingrich to host John McCaslin.
"I have a simple challenge for Speaker Pelosi...you know, put up or shut up. I mean, I have no idea what she's talking about. I don't think she has any idea what she's talking about, but bring it on," he said.

Pelosi is attempting to play the politics of personal destruction out in the open. Last time that game was played against Newt and his successor Livingston it was in the shadows by Hildebeest thanks to Craig Livingstone who had the FBI files on everyone and everybody whoever spent ten minutes in beltway politics.
Newt has been innoculated. There may have be a couple of items of dirty laundry yet to be revealed.
But Newt is in the position to use the Clinton playbook when it comes to dirty laundry.
When anything new comes out against him, he can always respond that is the same old stuff, it is old news, it doesn’t matter voters have got beyond that stuff a long time ago.
The interesting thing is that Newt will use Pelosi’s threat to his advantage.
He needs to use a little stronger language.
It appears like Pelosi is attempting to BLACKMAIL him.
Newt needs to challenge her more directly. Play the blackmail card now, why play it later?
It works to Newt’s advantage to make it appear that there is a conspiracy between Pelosi and the MSM to blackmail him but not until he gets the nomination.
Newt is a southern politician as were the Clintons and they understand the only thing they have to worry about is being caught in bed with a dead woman or a live boy.
