The ramming through of Obamacare was a festering disaster that anyone with political sense would know would cause serious problems at election time. She didn’t care. Demanding more reckless spending, higher taxes and more regulation in a deep recession would of course cause problems at election time. She didn’t care. Continuing to outwardly anti-Catholic legislation on abortion and gay marriage would cause a very shameful display when she went to the Vatican to meet the pope. She didn’t care, and didn’t get the coveted photo-op. Shielding Weiner through his disgrace until it was impossible even by her standards didn’t matter to her.
