There was a time when we were allowed to collect scalps off the bad guys and display them on an effigy pole.

Many would-be molestors would view the number of scalps displayed on the village effigy pole and decide to take their "business" elsewhere.

Good guys shooting bad guys is news in Gary. It's unusual. They quit reporting bad guys shooting bad guys 30 years ago.

“A shooting in Gary IN is news?”

NO....
A shooting where the intended victim SURVIVES in Gary, Indiana is news.

I imagine he’ll be immediately fired from the job for having a weapon at work.
On the night shift...
In Gary, Indiana...

"There was a time when we were allowed to collect scalps off the bad guys and display them on an effigy pole."

Instead, how about a collection of gang banger ball caps collected from dead perps shot by the good guys?

On January 11, 2012, shortly after 2:20 a.m., 24-year-old Marcus Patillo from 5864 Massachusetts Street, was reportedly shot dead during a botched holdup at Rally’s Hamburgers at 910 West 5th Avenue, in Gary, Indiana.

Run like a chicken with his head cut-off.

Would be nice if they included the calibers involved with articles of this type.

No BS two years ago while driving back from Michigan City to Crown Point we stopped at the Jackson house. It's even smaller than it looks. We pulled over and my wife and sister-in-law got out of the car walked up to the fence in front of the place and started taking pictures, it was daylight. There were at least 100 people walking around.
Scared the piss out of me
