Looking for alternatives to the gay agenda supporting Drudge Report I found the above...hopefully there are others. I also looked at
http://news.google.com which isn't too bad, but seems to be heavily filtered and influenced by their bias and agenda. Out of the above, Newser (
http://www.newser.com/) seemed pretty good, but it is all pictures...I actually enjoy the quick scan and read that the drudge format provides.
Are there other alternatives (obviously I already know about and enjoy FR as a great source)?

I'm so angry at Drudge I could chew nails. He should be forced to change the name of his site to the Mittpropagandareport. He's had this story, (thoroughly discredited by Nancy Reagan of all people) that Gingrich hated and mocked Ronald Reagan as his lead story since yesterday afternoon. That is the longest I've ever seen a story on Drudge.

Looking for alternatives to the gay agenda supporting Drudge ReportGiven that Matt himself is gay, why shouldn't he be on that side of the issue?

Great post. I'm sick of Drudge and more than ready for a change. I just checked out Hinessight. I'd hadn't heard of it before and like it. Bye bye Drudge.

I was so tired of the anti-Newt stuff that I sent him a note in his news tip. I then left Drudge for a while. If I find something better, I will report back.

Hinessight looks to be a liberal leaning version of Drudge.

If they don’t pan out, no worry, FR has all the news, commentary and miscellany, often sooner than Drudge. I hope someday it has video, or a tv station of its own.

Looking at Drudge's content right now:
- INSIDER: GINGRICH REPEATEDLY INSULTED REAGAN
- NEWT FLASHBACK 1983: REAGAN RESPONSIBLE FOR NATIONAL 'DECAY'...
- NEWT 1986: 'The Reagan administration has failed, is failing...
- NEWT 1988: 'If Bush runs as continuation of Reaganism he will lose'... VIDEO...
- GINGRICH OPENS DOOR FOR ILLEGALS...
- CNN: Gingrich admits his ABC claim was false during debate...
- Gingrich tells UNIVISION: No perjury during my divorce depositions...
- Marianne Gingrich lawyer: 'He was never deposed'...
- FLASHBACK 1998: Gingrich Orchestrated GOP Ads Recalling Clinton-Lewinsky Affair...
- R. EMMETT TYRRELL: William Jefferson Gingrich...
- COULTER: RE-ELECT OBAMA: VOTE NEWT!...
- DeLay: 'He's not really a conservative'...
- FL Poll: Romney Stronger than Gingrich in General Election vs. Obama...
So Matt Drudge has finally achieved "mainstream media" status, at least he is behaving like them now with his selective reporting and total bias against one side. Congratulations Matt, next stop for you is sure to be the New York Times!

He pushed the party elites to stick to a conservative platform aggressively and relentlessly, sometimes with tactics that embarrassed them deeply. And he was successful doing it for a long time, rising in popularity and power. Every time they say he only cared about “himself” you have to read that as the spin it is. It means he only cared about the American people and not about making nice and cutting deals with the party elites, insiders and Beltway crowd.
I’m not sure what other endorsement he should need beside this one:
Michael Reagan: “Newt became a leading ally of my father, Ronald Reagan. He helped Congress push through massive tax cuts. He worked to secure a military buildup that helped defeat the Soviet Union. Under his leadership Congress also limited the welfare state... As a leader in the Reagan Revolution, Gingrich began to confront both Democrats and Republicans in Congress for their cozy insider deals... Gingrich led the most reform-minded Congress in America... He has helped keep my father’s legacy alive.”

I suggest everyone go to the links on Drudge and paste this in the comments section. People need to know he appears to have a biased perspective that is inconsistent with mainstream conservatism.

Drudge: I Do Not Love Sex With Men
4/6/2009
Drudge has never been said to particularly relish his homosexuality or embrace it; in fact his gay romantic/sexual side has been described (when alleged) as conflicted and awkward.
David Brock, the former right-wing writer, wrote in his memoir Blinded by the Right about a scary date in which Drudge, after bringing Brock flowers and navigating the Santa Monica gay strip like a pro, stepped on a competing suitors foot really hard (in Drudges purported words) in a nightclub to scare him away from Brock.
Alec Baldwin stated that Drudge made an advance on him in an ABC Studios hallway, a proposition that had kind of a creepy quality to it.
Drudge denied he was gay to the Miami New Times in 2001, even as he launched into a disquisition on (as the New Times put it) the reigning DJ king of gay circuit parties and summarized his nightlife thusly: I go to straight bars, I go to gay bars.

Everyone should be aware of refdesk.com- It includes a large number of links to newspapers, and many other news sources. A great alternative to drudge.
