TEA Party Endorses Newt Gingrich in Florida Primary
Sunshine State News ^ | January 26, 2012 | Kenric Ward

Posted on 01/26/2012 2:51:53 PM PST by 2ndDivisionVet

The TEA Party of Florida endorsed Newt Gingrich in the Florida presidential primary, saying the former House speaker has "articulated direct and serious steps designed to reduce spending, cut our deficits, pay down our national debt, and return liberty to our citizens in doing so."

Reconstituted from the party whose candidates garnered 310,000 votes in 20 races in 2010, TEA is pursuing a broader outreach strategy this year.

Chairman John Long said that in addition to fielding its own slate of candidates, the party plans to endorse like-minded candidates from the major parties in other selected races.

"People ask us, 'Who is the TEA Party?' and we say, 'You are,'" Long stated.

"When you speak out against out-of-control spending and officials that refuse to act responsibly with our money, you are the TEA Party.'"

The 310,000 votes received by TEA (Taxed Enough Already) candidates in 2010 was the third largest total of any party in the state.

Hopefully Newt will win. If Romney wins Trump will most likely jump in and run as a Tea Party candidate.

Republican presidential hopeful Newt Gingrich speaks at a Space Coast town hall at a hotel in Cocoa, Florida. Gingrich was ahead in the rhetorical war among Republican presidential hopefuls on who could be toughest on Cuba's communist regime, suggesting Wednesday he would bomb the island if there were a popular uprising.

“”””People ask us, ‘Who is the TEA Party?’ and we say, ‘You are,’” Long stated.

“When you speak out against out-of-control spending and officials that refuse to act responsibly with our money, you are the TEA Party.’” “””

The tea party guys are a joke. hussein just got another big spending increase. I don’t hear any of these tea party kids doing anything about it. But their catchy slogans got them elected and that’s all that matters.

Trump likes making money, not spending his own money.

Trump is all mouth.

Didn't you learn anything from his previous tease.

Trump is entertaining in small doses...

But in the ego and self-love departments he makes Dumb’O look downright humble.

Nope, Newt should run as the head of the Conservative Party, time to make history with a real alternative to the two party system.

Woot! With all the lies and innuendo flying about Newt this week, this is some much needed good news today. It might just give Newt the edge he needs in tonight’s debate. Go Newt!

I think Newt will win if the people are allowed to hear the candidates and choose one. Currently though, the entire Western hemisphere is actively campaigning in the Republican primary so who knows what will happen.

I don’t get it, why can’t we have our own primaries without outside interference. Must be when the media turned that we lost that right.
