And We Should Hate Newt Gingrich for This?

All the members of the Republican Party who have been complicit and collaborative in the destruction of our nation in the past few decades always talking about smaller government while never fighting against the tide of creeping socialism have now come out against Newt Gingrich.

Yesterday, at National Review, Elliot Abrams attacked Newt Gingrich for attacking Ronald Reagan from the right.

Today, it is Bob Dole’s turn.

Bob Dole, you will remember from George Stephanoupolos’s memoir of his time in Clinton’s White House, totally cut the legs out from under Newt Gingrich and House Republicans during the government shut down. According to the Democrats, they were within twenty-four hours of caving to the House Republicans’ demands, but Bob Dole surprised them all by caving first.

Sound familiar?? Mitch McConnell? Debt ceiling deal? Payroll tax cut deal?

The next majority or minority leader of the senate needs to be a real conservative!

Newts win in South Carolina was like taking a stick to a Hornet’s nest.

If we can judge a man by his enemies, I kinda like Newt.

He has the right enemies, RINO’s ,leftists, those who dislike the Constitution, and Romneybots.

There has been so many postings about Newt, but wasn’t Erick Erickson jabbing Newt as well?

I like your line of thinking! I am working on going down into Florida to do a little roadside missionary work ;) May I borrow that train of thought for my sign?

May God guide our course.

More disgusting is that Rush Limbaugh is anti-Newt. He affects to be “shocked” at the information he’s hearing about Newt, and says Nancy Reagan wouldn’t have said what she did, had she known.

Santorum’s contact info is here:
http://www.ricksantorum.com/contact-us

Please consider contacting him and urging him to drop out now while it can still avert a Romney coronation. Santorum won’t win; he can only make Newt lose.

Palin: establishment trying to "crucify" Newt
byPhilip Klein Senior Editorial Writer

[] Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, in a pre-recorded interview with Fox Business Network to air tonight, said the establishment was trying to "crucify" Newt Gingrich in the Republican presidential race.

In an interview to air on Stossel at 10 p.m., Palin also says she sympathized with Ron Paul and defended his record on domestic issues, though she expressed differences with his foreign policy views.

Here's some advanced excerpts of the interview:

On whether she is sympathetic toward Republican presidential candidate Ron Paul (R-TX):

“I sure am….he is not the only one vilified, though, look at Newt Gingrich, what’s going on with him, via the establishment’s attacks. They’re trying to crucify this man and rewrite history, and rewrite what it is that he has stood for all these years. It’s not just Ron Paul. I believe it is also Newt Gingrich that the establishment, that the liberal media, certainly that the progressives and Democrats don’t like.”

On her concerns about Ron Paul’s foreign policy stance:

“I still sense his desire to be more of an isolated country and not be as aware and active on the international scene when it comes to protecting our allies like Israel and doing all we can. However, on the domestic front, he has been the only one who has been so adamantly passionate about doing something about the suffocating debt, about reigning in government growth, and slashing budgets. I respect that. I appreciate it. His austerity measures that he wants to see Congress adopt in order to reign in government and let the private sector actually grow and thrive and hire more people are absolutely spot on.”

Elizabeth Dole was a Democrat before she married Bob; Bob considered becoming a Democrat in Russell, KS, after the war but went Republican because he wanted to run for local office. Maybe they are still Democrats at heart.

Eliot Abrams is a liar. Newt was not attacking Reagan or Reaganism which he defended in the same interview. He was saying that Bush Sr. shouldn't run on Reaganism as he (Newt) was afraid that he would lose because new, different ideas would capture the imaginations of Americans.

Frankly, considering what people seem to think is important nowadays (i.e., sports, American Idol, the Kardashians, etc.), I think Newt was right.

Bob Dole is a professional sell-out who sold his power and position in the Senate to anyone who would finance him. Being blown up during WWII and surviving is remarkable, but it doesn't make him a moral giant or an honest public servant.

He was originally for Perry but now said he definitely can vote for Newt. He does not try to jab Newt but he does analyze the state of the election very honestly. He did a great job defending Newt yesterday on the Neal Boortz show and I was hoping he would put it in writing so I went to look for it and here it is!

People in KY believe in McC, but more importantly so do his fellow senators. I don’t think any of the senators are really reliable conservatives, maybe the junior senator in UT? Can someone name even one other? Coburn is kind of erratic and was staunchly McPain-oriented.

I lived in Gingrich’s district during this time.

This story line that Gingrich hated Reagan is the exact OPPOSITE of what I remember from that time.

This accusation is made up out of whole cloth. It appears that took a statement out of context to create a lie.

On the other hand, there are volumes of Romney statements where he is saying he doesn’t support Reagan.

Why do you suppose that so many of those WWII heroes turned out to be political sell-outs? The list is endless. One theory is that they wished to avoid war for their sons and did whatever might not even work in a vain bid to prevent entry into another war. Now they “go to war” at the drop of a hat but don’t mean it. Only the military families pay. Such is the legacy too of the uninformed American voters.

Don’t you imagine Santorum is expecting Newt to self-destruct, and he wants to still be in the race in a vain bid to re-group.
