Generally, in the US, we wait until trial and a guilty verdict to jail people.

True enough. I've seen a lot of people go easy on Sandusky: he deserves his day in court. We will eventually decide if he is guilty and what his punishment might be.

Paterno, on the other hand, was found guilty without a trial, fired, humilated, and hounded to death. [shrug]

IMO, Sandusky has received much kinder treatment than Paterno and I cannot understand it.

This is weird, but part of it may have been Paterno’s stonewalling in the presence of an indefinite stink. Stonewalling and hiding often incenses the public worse than being an open criminal does.

The creep has already admitted to taking a young boy into the showers in a men’s locker room and having intentional contact with him. Y’all can debate the semantics of that while pervets like him continue to ruin kids lives. I say string him up now and get it over with
