The article, by David Adams, had intended to detail why Rubio was an unlikely pick for Vice President: "Rubio may not be as coveted as Gingrich or Romney would have it appear as they press for votes in Florida, where more than 450,000 Hispanics identify themselves as Republicans," Reuters David Adams wrote. "Despite his reputation as a watchdog over federal spending, Rubio, 40, has had significant financial problems that could keep him from passing any vetting process as a potential vice presidential choice, Republican and Democratic strategists say."Thanks Scanian.
Politically, Rubio will be a VP candidate eventually, or perhaps a Presidential nominee.
Why?
He’s Hispanic and despite the lies to the contrary, Hispanics described as entrepreneurial etc., don’t outweigh that the number one voting issue for them is Illegal Immigration. They perceive attacks on Illegals as attacks on Hispanics.
So get used to the GOP having a lot of Hispanic people involved at the national level.
Rubio really isn’t the wonder kid, he has vetting problems too...what he does have is the GOP E, including the Bushies supporting and mentoring him.
As long as he tows the line, he’ll be allowed to run and he passed a major test by swinging the H vote to Romney with his backhanding of Gingrich’s ads and ignoring all of the Romney’s attacks on Newt.
