Cuban-American Leader: Huge Push for Newt Over Mitt
NewsMax ^ | January 28, 2012 | David A. Patten

Carlos Perez, one of Ronald Reagan's closest Miami advisers and a Radio Mambi talk host who is influential in Florida's Cuban-American community, says there is growing resentment among Hispanics due to “lies and distortions” from GOP candidate Mitt Romney targeting former House Speaker Newt Gingrich.

Perez told Newsmax in an exclusive interview Saturday afternoon that a backlash is brewing against the Romney campaign’s allegation that Gingrich tried to undermine former President Ronald Reagan’s agenda.

Perez was a close adviser to President Reagan, and Reagan even acknowledged his Cuban-American friend's achievement during a State of the Union address.

“Among Cuban-Americans, you can bet your life Newt Gingrich will win the primary election,” Perez flatly predicted.

Perez, host of a popular Miami radio and television show, said Hispanic voters and especially Cuban-Americans are now “backing Newt Gingrich dramatically” and “getting a little bit mad at the Romney campaign.”

Perez endorsed Gingrich’s presidential bid on Monday. On Saturday, he told Newsmax that the buzz in the Cuban-American community has turned strongly pro-Gingrich.

Mitt is employing the tactics he learn as a young missionary...bang on the door for thirty minutes and then dominate the conversation until they hate your guts.

I am watching "Braveheart" for he umteenth time as background noise.

But Old Man Bruce, his verbage caught my ear, and he reminds me of Romney, and the RNC / GOP will do and or feel about "US"...

"You will embrace this rebellion. Support it from our lands in the north. I will gain English favor by condemning it and ordering opposed from our lands in the south. Sit down. Stay awhile."

"It is time... to *survive*. You're the seventeenth Robert Bruce. The sixteen before you passed you land and title because they *didn't* charge in. Call a meeting of the nobles."

"Rightly so. They're as rich in English titles and lands as they are in Scottish, just as we are. You admire this man, this William Wallace. Uncompromising men are easy to admire. He has courage; so does a dog. But it is exactly the ability to *compromise* that makes a man noble. And understand this: Edward Longshanks is the most ruthless king ever to sit on the throne of England. And none of us, and nothing of Scotland will remain, unless *we* are as ruthless. Give ear to our nobles. Knowing their minds is the key to the throne."

Excellent. I’m watching Armageddon as background noise.

The world is waiting on Newt to win this, they just don’t know it.

Not a chance in hell of winning Santorum is going to hand this thing to Romney.

One thread said that Newt was appealing to Rick’s supporters to help him win FL. I say: Heck yeah; Newt. Go for it. It’s too late and this is too serious. I think Newt’s Super Pac backer (Billionaire Casino mogul....name slips me right now) should pay for Newt to have 30 min. of air time on the Hispanic Station Monday night to address the Cuban and Hispanic communities of Florida.

Join the Resistance! when you see a poster of Mitt—paint over it a “V” We are a rag tag group—we may well be crushed under the Mittens Machine—but we will go down fighting. We are like the Americans who fought Franco in Spain before WW II. We know that we are out gunned and out manned, but we know our case is right.

The elitists have come out of the GOP closet, guns blazing and are now caught with their pants down.

Why can’t America get out from under the “smart” big government technocrats? Why is the Congress and President violating the constitution and abusing people in the name of safety from domestic terrorists? Why are the corporatists getting away with crashing the economy with bankster real estate schemes and bail outs? Why are the elitists turning society up-side-down in a never ending culture war of change into the gutter of social destruction and ignornace from which humanity evolved?

Because both parties are run by the same global socialist mob. Materialism and total power; not just over the Nation but over the whole world, is their only values. Their idea of spreading the wealth is for the government to take wealth from of the middle class and pass it out to more and more technocrats and corporatists.

Mitten is the GOP party man. He’s the DNC party man. He’s the global party man. It’s all one big happy party and the American people are not invited! We are crashin’ the party and when we get in, they are out and they know it!

Romney is about as much of a “Mexican” as my goldfish - and I don’t even have one. That was gross pandering.

Great-grampa Romney fled from Utah to Mexico with his wives when the polygamy was outlawed (a requirement for Utah to become a state) and lived in an Anglo Mormon cult community there. His son (Willard’s grandfather) came back to the US with Willard’s father, who was a small child.

Calling himself the child of “Mexican immigrants” was not only pandering, it was ridiculous. I hope the real Mexican immigrants throw tomatillos (really hard ones) at him the next time the see him.

You need to read my post again - Jorge W Romney, one of the wettest RINO Rockefeller pubbies ever, ran for the Republican nomination in 1968. He is the late father of The Willard. He was born IN MEXICO to Mormons who were then living in a Mormon colony in Chihuahua state. The fact that Jorge's parents returned to Utah five years after he was born is beside the point of his place of birth. Serious questions concerning his elegibility for the office of President under the NBC requirement were raised and never resolved during the primaries of 1968. In this golden time of Algore's internet, you have no excuse for being so abysmally uninformed. Try, try very hard to see the distinction between the elements of the constitutional NBC requirement and the several modes of statutory citizenship. Good luck to you and vote for Newt, will you please.
