Being a hermit is not a requirement of being a prepper. And to tell you the truth the Federal Government has grown so large and so deep into debt I refer you to post #1. Newt is a Million times better than the Communist Kenyan we have now, but Newt is still a big Government guy and if he wins I see the growth and the reaching subsiding but I seriously doubt we will see any ‘rollback’ that amounts to anything close to what needs to be done.

The further you are removed from large population centers, the safer you will be, for sure you'll have more freedom. Honestly, I don't see a total collapse as some do. I see high prices, economic problems that make today's look like kindergarten, and people getting use to doing for themselves.

Just imagine all those who have become completely dependent on entitlements, pensions, disability, and all the govt assistance programs that enslave those who accept it.
