Michelle Malkin Endorses Rick Santorum
American Spectator ^ | 1.30.12 @ 12:06PM | By W. James Antle, III

Newt Gingrich has effectively called on Rick Santorum to drop out of the presidential race, yet the former Pennsylvania senator continues to poll in the double digits and shows no sign of quitting. Why are so many conservatives dissatisfied with a choice between Gingrich and Mitt Romney? Michelle Malkin's Santorum endorsement is a good primer....

[Santorum] didn't cave when Chicken Littles in Washington invoked a manufactured crisis in 2008. He didn't follow the pro-bailout GOP crowd - including Mitt Romney and Newt Gingrich - and he didn't have to obfuscate or rationalize his position then or now...

Santorum opposed individual health care mandates - clearly and forcefully - as far back as his 1994 U.S. Senate run. He has launched the most cogent, forceful fusillade against both Romney and Gingrich for their muddied, pro-individual health care mandate waters.

He voted against cap and trade in 2003, voted yes to drilling in ANWR, and unlike Romney and Gingrich, Santorum has never dabbled with eco-radicals...

He has my vote when the race comes to Michigan. Romney will probably win it but he’ll do it without me.

At this point in the game MM is playing it safe...Rick is a nice guy and nice guys don’t finish near the top. Also he had one moment of glory during the last debate.

GO NEWT

That’s all well and good, but neither Rick Santorum nor Michelle Malkin can achieve victory in tomorrow’s Florida primary. The only logical decision for any Santorum supporter is to now line up behind Newt IF they truly want to stop Romney’s inexorable march to the nomination.

Newt had a great line on Hannity today, ‘The elites don’t care that this country is in decline, as long as they get to manage the decline ...’

He said “manage the decay”. A very apt description, I thought.

Malkin is wrong, but it’s her decision. I hope it isn’t covert support for the establishment, but one never knows.

Problem is you can’t redirect Santorum’s supporters. NBC/Marist survey found Santorum’s supporters would scatter about equally to Romney and Gingrich if he left the race

Santorum isn’t Newt’s problem

This is the 3rd post about this.

Does she live in Florida?

Doesn't she know this divides the votes which
helps the establishment.

Have a nice evening.

Unlike Ann at least she picked a Conservative, although I would like to see Mitt work a deal with him for the Vice Presidency.

Ditto from Oakland County.

Especially women. My wife is a life-long conservative, who supports Santorum. She views Newt as a “moral leper.” If it comes down to a choice between Newt and Mitt, she'll support Mitt in a heartbeat.

Today's Gallup Poll indicates Santorum will do far better than Gingrich in the swing states:

Has she seen Romney’s deception in Florida and the stuff going on against Newt? She must not be taking in all the data for this decision.

It's come down to Newt vs. Mitt, as evidence by the entire GOP establishment attacking Newt and praising Romney at every opportunity. Michelle Malkin, pictured below, pretends this isn't the case.

Another one playing games?

She's for Romney but it wouldn't fly well with her anti-establishment "conservative" persona and doesn't what Drudge-style backlash against her cash cow?
