I know for a fact that they are lying. Issa is going to burn them like nothing they’ve ever felt. Most people would stop digging the hole once they realized they were in trouble. These idiots can’t seem to stop digging faster and faster and faster.
They ran a gun control scheme that blew up in their faces. Now, they’re trying to spin it to keep from going to prison. If they were smart, they’d be begging for prison to keep them away from the millions of PO’ed people out there that want their heads on a pike.
The only way Issa will get these DOJ people prosecuted is in state courts. Gore made it quite plain in the late 1990’s that “there is no controlling legal authority” if the DOJ itself is unwilling to institute prosecution.
The only other course would be to call a special prosecutor, but I believe that that has to be initiated by the Senate, which isn’t gonna happen.
Arizona has made it clear that they are willing to bring Fed’s to the bar and make them answer to state law.
