HAMILTON, Ohio -- A teenager described how she was raped six years ago by a man who fled to Mexico after he was charged with sexually assaulting the girl.
The victim, now 15 years old, told jurors Monday that she'd been riding her bike on Father's Day, 2005, when Alfredo Cruz waved her over.
The teen said she rode over to Cruz, now 31, and he picked up the purple bicycle with her on in it and took her into his house.
She said Cruz put her bicycle in a closet and ordered her to take off her clothes.
"He said I had to take my clothes off or he would do it for me," she said.
Cruz then began taking her clothes off and raped her multiple times, the girl said.
"I was in too much pain to be doing anything," the girl testified.
Afterward, the girl said Cruz told her that he was her new grandmother and father, and he left to get some beer and cigarettes that he forced her to share.
After Cruz passed out, she said another man in the house told her to leave and she ran home naked. Her father asked where her clothes were, and she pointed to Cruz's home.
An angry mob burned down Cruz's house shortly after the girl accused him of rape.
Cruz was arrested in Mexico last year and extradited to Butler County. He is charged with four counts of rape and one count of kidnapping.
Cruz faces up to life in prison if convicted.
The only good part about this article is when the neighbors burned his house down.
Life in prison would be way too good for this scumbag.

Justice Anthony Kennedy wrote in the majority opinion that execution in this case would violate the Eighth Amendment's prohibition against cruel and unusual punishment, citing "evolving standards of decency" in the United States.

The State of Louisiana used to have that provision. Rape of a child was a capitol offense. That provision of the statute was struck down, of course, by that font of wisdom and virtue:

More recent cases..Sheriff’s deputies have arrested an illegal immigrant on suspicion of molesting at least three children, including a 7-year-old Big Bear Lake girl.
Jorge Hernandez-Oropeza, 34, was arrested Thursday by Crimes Against Children detectives from the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department.
Deputies began their investigation Jan. 6 when they received a report of a girl who was molested by Hernandez numerous times in 2010 and 2011 in the 4000 block of Forest Drive in Big Bear Lake. The incidents occurred while Hernandez’s mother was baby sitting the child, sheriff’s officials said.
Investigators learned there were two other victims who had been molested by Hernandez in 2001.
Hernandez was booked in jail in lieu of $250,000 bail. Officials say he is also in custody on an immigration hold.

LOS ANGELES — An illegal immigrant has been sentenced to 180 days in jail for lewd conduct in front of a 4-year-old Los Angeles girl.
Los Angeles city prosecutors say 49-year-old Rene Ochoa pleaded no contest on Tuesday to child endangerment and lewd conduct. Besides jail time, the judge placed him on four years’ probation.

Police are looking for a 30-year-old alleged illegal immigrant accused of having sex with an 11-year-old girl in Chambersburg.
Jorge Alfaro-Alfaro was charged with two counts of raping a child, a first-degree felony, and a warrant was issued for his arrest Thursday. His last known address was 120 Buchanan St., Chambersburg.
Chambersburg police said the U.S. Department of Immigration and Customs Enforcement also has an active warrant for his deportation back to his native Mexico.
The rape investigation began in early December when a Chambersburg man reported to police that Alfaro-Alfaro had initiated a sexual relationship with his 11-year-old daughter, according to a police affidavit filed with Magisterial District Judge Glenn Manns.
Police spoke with the girl, and she said that her relationship with Alfaro-Alfaro began in September with talking and text messages. She said the relationship eventually became physical and she agreed to have sex with him.
The first incident allegedly took place in Alfaro-Alfaro’s bedroom when he was living at a different address. The girl said he “signaled her” to meet him by tapping on the window. He allegedly had sex with the child a second time in November.
The girl told police that, “Jorge told her that he loved her and was only with his wife because of the kids,” the affidavit states.
During the investigation, Detective William Frisby went to Alfaro-Alfaro’s more recent address on Buchanan Street and spoke to the man’s wife, Rosalba Excelquiel Funes-Vicente, according to the affidavit. She said she was aware of the allegations against he husband, but she believed the girl “had made up the report.”
She said “she has not seen nor heard from her husband” since the alleged rapes were reported.
Frisby learned that Alfaro-Alfaro had worked at Eldorado Stone, LLC. He spoke with a human relations representative, who said Alfaro-Alfaro had recently stopped coming to work.
The detective determined that Alfaro-Alfaro had used a forged Permanent Resident Card and a forged Social Security card on his job application. An agent with ICE told Frisby that he has been wanted for deportation since May 2003.
“Numerous attempts have been made to locate Jorge, and as of the date his wife claims that she has had no contact with him and doesn’t know where he is,” the affidavit states.
