According to the polls, Gingrich can not/will not win the presidency. Should he give up now, and concede to Romney, so that the GOP can beat 0 in the fall? Or is he staying in to split the conservative vote for Rick?
Rick does not stand a snowballs chance in hell to win the nomination. This is a 2 man race NEWT and Roboromney.
Rick has been paid off with a PROMISE from the GOPe.

There can be no other reason for Rick to stay in. The proof will come in 2020, until then adios.

I disagree. He may actually believe that he can win.
Also, we can disagree on opinion, but not on facts. If you state emphatically, "Rick has been bought by the GOPe", that is fact, and needs to be proved. If you say, "I think that the Rick has been bought by the GOPe", you may think that, but to state it in public not knowing whether it is true or not is defamatory to Rick's character.
If you want to continue to slander Rick, that is your prerogative. But what will you do if he becomes the GOP candidate, or at least becomes the only conservative alternate to Romney?

No matter what he may or may not be, he is an Establishment guy who was groomed by Karl Rove to be Bill Frist’s successor. I think you have not followed politics long enough. Economically, he is no conservative. He never was one and has no interest being one either. Newt is far better than Santorum.

Perhaps. But if 0 wins this year, I doubt there will be a 2020 election. Hugo Chavez with big ears will see to it. (And, yes, I may be slandering 0, but I think his obvious contempt for the rule of law makes this possible.)

Yes, and if Newt implodes, as he very well could, or for that matter keels over (he doesn’t look like he takes very good care of himself, after all), we’ll be glad Santorum is still in it to pick up the pieces.
What people lose sight of is that Romney is getting no where near a majority of the GOP vote. Not even close. It will be interesting to see if he hits 40% today in Florida.
My feeling is let it play out for a while yet. After all, if Santorum weren’t running in Florida, part of his vote might have gone to Romney, maybe even pushing him toward that 50% level that really will make him look unstoppable. Right now though, he’s no where near unbeatable. It’s early in the process, and people are learning more and more about the way he’s willing to tear down fellow Republicans to achieve his twin goals: Replacing Obama and preserving Obamacare.
