Ken Mehlman: Republicans should be for same-sex marriage (RINO BARF ALERT: Yes the KM from Bush II)
New Hampshire Union Leader ^ | January 26, 2012 | Ken Mehlman

Posted on 01/31/2012 8:06:59 AM PST by C19fan

“Live Free or Die” isn’t just the official motto for a great state. As the 62nd Republican National Committee Chairman, I think it’s a mantra our party should live by. I hope that New Hampshire legislators will remember this slogan and reject proposals to strip citizens of their right to marry.

The party of Lincoln and Reagan should stand first and foremost for freedom. It’s part of our heritage and ought to be part of our DNA. Freedom for Americans of all races is why our party was founded. And our greatest moments — from the unbelievable economic recovery unleashed by lower taxes and less regulation to the fall of the Berlin Wall — resulted when we promoted freedom.

The sodomite Mehlman is just another wonderful legacy of the Bush years. GWB allowed infiltration of the party and the government by the GOPROUD crowd because he didn’t want to appear to “bash” sodomites.

Bay - Haven’t seen you around here much lately, I hope that is for a good reason, ie, busy working.

Well, things have gotten significantly worse in this state, regarding the NGOs and the government. It’s scary stuff and it’s difficult to even get anyone to listen because they have convinced so many of the Republicans that the COAL is in their best interests.

What they are scheming is to ram this coal terminal through with little to no prior environmental evaluation, claiming that they will charge for the mitigation after the fact, putting the oversight and control of the mitigation funds under the purveyance of the NGOs, the Puget Sound Partnership.

They are doing this through regulations which create a fee in lieu of mitigation plan, first in the country as a precedent, then on the state level. It’s basically a buy off to the NGOs. If they don’t oppose the project, they get to control all the mitigation funds to be used as they wish, where ever they wish.

They are trying the same kind of thing with the farm plans, trying to get state control of implementing farm plans, so they don’t have to go through the approval process on the county level, but they are running into resistance at the local level because the local NGOs don’t want to give up control of the fees. The cash is really what this is all about, money and control.

This fellow must have flunked basic biology 101.

He is apparently unaware that sexual union between male/male and female/female partners can only be achieved by means of perverted and risky behavior to the physical and mental health of the participants and the population. Clearly the Chairman is willing to ignore basic science and put public safety at risk in order to reward his misguided ideas of equality, and to please his homosexual donors, IMO.

I've been around, but also trying to make a living. I send out frequent Washington pings using the list sionnsar and I put together before his death. I just checked the list and didn't find your name, so I've added it.

The environmental scamming business continues to be my focus. We were successful in causing county commissioners to abandon their ICLEI membership in Clallam County and we constantly share the news about our effort to turn back the Agenda 21 movement in America.

No enough people realize how important this is, but we are keeping on. Constant news can be found on our Facebook liink.

The party of Lincoln and Reagan is the party of moral values.

“We have a mormon candidate who advocated for homosexual anything goes marriage. His faith had to outlaw polygamy to have utah become a state.

By advocating anything goes marriage, as he has, polygamy becomes legal.”

But the official Mormon position is fiercely against gay marriage, right?

Because Reagan did not support banning homosexuals from teaching in California, they misrepresent his position on gay marriage and other gay "rights." Here's what he said about those other gay "rights".
"Society has always regarded marital love as a sacred expression of the bond between a man and a woman. It is the means by which families are created and society itself is extended into the future. In the Judeo-Christian tradition it is the means by which husband and wife participate with God in the creation of a new human life. It is for these reasons, among others, that our society has always sought to protect this unique relationship. In part the erosion of these values has given way to a celebration of forms of expression most reject. We will resist the efforts of some to obtain government endorsement of homosexuality."

"My criticism is that [the gay movement] isn’t just asking for civil rights; it’s asking for recognition and acceptance of an alternative lifestyle which I do not believe society can condone, nor can I."

These quotes clearly shows that his opposition to banning homosexuals from teaching DID NOT extend to 1) teaching about homosexuality in school 2) proselytizing homosexuals 3) government promotion of homosexuality or 4) gay marriage

Bay, There will be no stopping it, once they turn the regulatory process and fee raising over to the NGOs. We will have government by appointed commissions and boards with no ability to get them out of office.

They start with the appointed planning commissions, which then appoint these ad hoc stake holder boards which work under a private grant from some larger environmental group (who knows exactly who funds them, its a secret) until they can get the fee in lieu of mitigation set up, which will then be used to fund their boards and support their projects. It’s self perpetuating.

So its a freedom issue?
Well Mr Mehlman
What about a guy and 2 women or 2 women a guy? Shouldn’t they have freedom also?
How about a brother and sister? Shouldn’t they have freedom too?
How about a man and a boy? What? You say no because that is a crime? Well not too many years ago sodomy was a crime.....

I have made the grandpa mistake also, it was actually his great grandfather, with at least five wives.

Instituting “gay marriage” is Big Government telling people that they have to endorse and subsidize gay unions.
