I remember a discussion or three after the last election in which many of us opined that Barack Obama was a judgment on the nation. The sense was "If we're no more Godly than to actually put that man in office, given what he represents, then God is teaching us a lesson."
Then we conservatives patted ourselves on our backs for having the good sense not to vote for Obama.
God works in mysterious ways.
Now CONSERVATIVES have this choice God presented last time served up to them as well. We know Romney is no less liberal. He funds the slaughter of innocents, he signs gay marriage legislation even when not necessary, he forbids personal self-defense, he practices cheating weights and measures, he considers himself a god, and he exalts the state over the individual.
How we ask, can anyone support such a thing?
But the self-congratulatory CINOs of the last election are now making the same choice.
We will be weighed in the balance and found wanting if we support this man.
The only faithful Christian choice is to support some third party or third candidate if Romney is the nominee.
Alamo-girl sincerely hoped for a man of God to be our candidate, and she saw that in Gov. Perry. I agreed with her on her evaluation of his religious faith. At this point, Santorum is the consistent Christian conservative, and Newt is the repentant and converted Christian conservative.
If Romney is the choice, then will we be next on the list of those who have the sentiments tried by fire with an ungodly choice to make. Let us pray not, and let us pray that we will have the courage and strength in His Spirit to resist the wiles of the devil and turn to a truly Christian leader in some other party or some other presidential campaign.
Keep the faith! Pray, vote Newt, work for Newt and FUND Newt as you can!!!
Georgia has more delegates than Florida!
REBELLION IS ON AND IT'S OURS!!!!
I thought so too. For whatever reason he stumbled in his debates early on and the immigration purists buried him.
The only faithful Christian choice is to support some third party or third candidate if Romney is the nominee.
My wife and I discussed this at length and if Romney is the nominee we won't be voting. We will give money to Sen. Demint's "Senate Conservative Fund" and we will give money to Gov. Walker in WI.
I don't know how FL will go, but it's only 50 delegates. Super Tuesday is a bigger battlefield. The battle is not over!
I continue to pray for a President who will lead on his knees before God. Evidently, Santorum who is obviously willing to do just that will not be able to continue his campaign much longer.
Newt has been humbled - I believe he would kneel and lead in prayer for our country.
Hopefully he will prevail in this primary season.
