The family of murdered Border Patrol agent Brian Terry has filed a $25 million wrongful death suit against the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives -- claiming Terry was killed with AK-47s that were knowingly sold under the Fast and Furious gunrunning probe to a straw purchaser for drug cartels.

In a 65-page complaint, attorneys for the family claim ATF "wrongdoing" in Fast and Furious.

Unfortunately, the Gubmint will offer some settlement out of Taxpayer’s Money, whereas, I would like to see the Muzzie-in-Chief AND Holder have a Judgement from their OWN POCKETS to fund it...

The usual practice is that, if a civil servant committed a crime in the process of inflicting injury, he or she is personally liable.

$25 mil would just about take Zero to ZERO.

If so, we’ve got a pattern of behavior here - in both the eligibility issue and F&F the pattern is to do whatever it takes to keep the evidence from being seen, heard, and decided using legal standards of evidence and due process.

Soros and everybody in his puppet regime despise the rule of law. Always have, always will. And it’s becoming increasingly difficult for the general public to ignore that fact. The only way a person doesn’t realize what’s going on here is by willful ignorance. Aided and abetted by a willfully-ignorant media.

And suing the Lone Wolf company that sold the gun means that even if the government would fork over our money to quiet the issue, the business owner might not be quite so ready to do that if settlement would send them into bankruptcy. Isn’t that the guy who recorded the phone call with one of the government people to show their knowledge and involvement? If they basically threatened or forced him into selling the guns illegally, then he will be highly motivated to get that story and the evidence of it out there.

Makes me think of Obama saying they’re going to investigate the sub-prime lending. The banks that were otherwise responsible gave subprime loans because the feds said they had to and folks like attorney Barack Obama in Chicago were breathing down the banks’ necks to make sure they did it. Bet that doesn’t come out in anything the Dept of Injustice reports though...

Good for them! Their son was shot by his employer - his own government. There is not enough money to make this right, but I hope the family gets some satisfaction from their lawsuit.

Not an attorney, but wouldn’t a slick attorney try to get Lone Wolf removed as a defendant on that basis?

It’s not enough. Not nearly enough. But it’s a start and THIS will be hard to ignore.

I don’t think the Terry family will accept a settlement no matter how big it is. They want to know what happened to their son. They want the truth out there. That is the point of the suit.

Either way, the Terry family would have the Lone Wolf folks airing facts/evidence against the government. It’s sort of like pitting two primary candidates against each other; when only one or the other will be left standing at the end you can get a lot of dirty laundry out into the open. lol

they will settle for multi-millions to avoid Discovery.

To which the family should instruct their attorney to reply, "Go piss up a rope and make sure you show up for this court case."

There is reason to believe that Agent Terry's BORTAC team knew nothing about the rip crew and the rip crew knew nothing in advance about Agent Terry's team.

FBI Criminal Informant Complicit in Brian Terry’s Death (PJM Exclusive)

Previously, Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry’s death in Peck Canyon, Arizona was described as a chance meeting that led to a firefight: an illegal alien “rip crew” working for the Sinaloa cartel was hoping to find other illegal aliens and to rob them at gunpoint. Instead, they stumbled across a Border Patrol unit and murdered Agent Terry.

Last week, the Washington Times offered a new version of the encounter: they reported that the rip crew was not hunting illegals, but Border Patrol teams — with the intention of engaging them in combat.

Sources now tell PJ Media that neither version of events is accurate: the rip crew was not waiting for a chance encounter with other illegals, nor did the members intend to engage American law enforcement agents.

The rip crew was in Peck Canyon that evening with the intention of stealing money and drugs from a specific shipment of which they had prior knowledge.

(snip)

The rip crew knew to be in Peck Canyon that December evening because a CI working for the FBI found out about a smuggling run — from the FBI.

(snip)

A source tells PJM that the FBI knew from wiretaps that the CI was using their information to set up an ambush. The Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) — through its own CIs and communications intercepts — was also aware of the planned assault. Neither the DEA nor FBI warned Border Patrol about the expected criminal activity.

(snip)

Multiple sources tell PJM that this third weapon “disappeared” because it was the weapon carried by the FBI CI who ran the rip crew. When it was recovered near the scene of the murder and subsequently traced by the ATF, it traced back to the FBI CI via the gun shop in Texas where it was purchased.

(snip)

Neither agency bothered to warn Border Patrol to keep their BORTAC teams out of Peck Canyon that evening. As a direct result of this FBI and DEA failure — combined with Homeland Security forcing BORTAC units to carry less-lethal beanbag rounds in some of their primary weapons — Brian Terry’s under-armed four-man unit walked into an ambush against a heavily armed rip crew, at least five of whom were carrying rifles.

Brian Terry’s murder was entirely preventable. The incompetence of the DEA and FBI let his Border Patrol unit walk into an ambush. After the ambush, it appears the FBI tampered with evidence to cover up that one of their informants was involved with the murder of a federal agent.

Bingo! Lone Wolf's lawyer/s will use their forced participation as their primary defense. That will get publicity and open up a lot of ATF/DOJ files for discovery.

Next the families of the hundreds of Mexican citizens killed by F&F guns should file their own lawsuits.

Holder, DOJ and ATF and Co. will just “borrow” the $25 from Chinese investors to avoid the discovery process.

After all, what’s $25 million when the annual deficit is over $1 TRILLION and the national debt is quickly closing in on $16 TRILLION?!?

$25 million is just a quick pi$$ in the ocean ...

Awesome! Best hopes for this to win in court. I’d add the DOJ to the list and they could probably pitch in another 25M.
