The family of murdered Border Patrol agent Brian Terry has filed a $25 million wrongful death suit against the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives -- claiming Terry was killed with AK-47s that were knowingly sold under the Fast and Furious gunrunning probe to a straw purchaser for drug cartels.

In a 65-page complaint, attorneys for the family claim ATF "wrongdoing" in Fast and Furious.

If law enforcement and those who should be watching over it do not do their jobs, can the Civil Suits be far behind?

I rarely approve of these lawsuits, but in this case I’m on the side of the family. This isn’t some “strict liability” frivolous lawsuit. It’s a case of shockingly reckless conduct by government agents acting in their official capacity under orders from the highest level of our government. Yes, we should pay, and it should be a national scandal. Obama disgusts me, whether he gave specific orders for Fast and Furious or just set the tone and managed so ineptly that this happened.

Unfortunately, the Gubmint will offer some settlement out of Taxpayer’s Money, whereas, I would like to see the Muzzie-in-Chief AND Holder have a Judgement from their OWN POCKETS to fund it......but, since it’s other-people’s-money (aka, the Taxpayer), they will settle for multi-millions to avoid Discovery.

I’ll bet on an out of court settlement around 10 million before discovery begins..too many people would have to take the 5th.

I would not hold my breath...... The media will probably do a few dozen hit pieces on the family to protect the messiah personal bought and paid protection (holder)

I hope the Terry family has a stiffer set of collective spines than that, and I'm betting that they do. It takes two parties to settle.

I do not think that the Terry family cares one iota for the money - they want the people who caused the death of Brian to be held accountable for their actions. I seriously doubt they will “settle” until that happens!

The media are mostly far-left kool aid drinkers waiting for the second coming of Karl Marx. They will do everything they can to keep it from the American people. Today’s American Thinker did an article about the neglect of the msm in reporting this scandal. They have ignored it hoping to protect their messiah Obama. The more that I see of the msm the more it makes me think of that old proverb...”If a tree falls in the forest and there is no one to hear, does it make a sound?”

Too bad that this lawsuit will not happen before the election. What a great opportunity for some citizens’ group to splash this scandal all over the media.
