On the Sean Hannity radio show today, Rep. Allen West said that “the days of conservatives being punching bags-that’s over.”
“As I shared with you last night and I will continue to say, the days of conservatives being punching bags-that’s over, Rep. West (R-) said. “And we have to stand up-we have to stand up on principle.”
“We have to identify this message and this ideology which is counter to the principles and values of this Constitutional republic.”
Hannity and West were discussing the recent comments made by the congressman in which he told Democratic leaders to take their message “the hell out of the U.S.” West believes the uproar in the media surrounding these comments is an example of the “duplicitous hypocrisy” and the “double standard” from those on the left.
“We got to draw that contrast and we have to be bold and daring in doing so that we can inspire people to stand up and also get people to answer questions-what do they believe in?”

Love this man Allan West when he reproves the evil left and their rino friends.
I do not know if the GOP rinos can be saved as they have joined the evil left in the march of socialism, the child of bloody communism.
It looks like Col. West is being redistricted right out of his seat. Some think the Republican establishment is doing it to him. So it appears he is going to be the ultimate punching bag.
I’m just a wee bit in love with Allen West.
But, apparently, the rest of the GOP hasn’t gotten Mr. West’s memo.

In the meantime, we have a prospective nominee that is happy with a safety net for all and wants automatic increase in the minimum wage. His principles are liberal principles, yet he is forced upon us and will work to destroy or marginalize men like West.
You're going to have to tell a lot of the "Conservatives" out here.
This guy’s attitude is an inestimable contribution to conservatism. I guess you are talking about the Florida Republican Establishment stabbing him in the back, right? or is Florida one of the states of the south whose redistricting has been seized by the Federal Government?

I heard that interview and he is awesome! It’s the only way I can stomach listening to Hannity.
I know exactly what he means.
I am lot older than Lt. Col. West and I think that I know even better what the colonel means.
Political discourse in the mid to late 20th Century was liberals screaming at conservatives "Racists!" "Bigots!" "Nazis!" "Hate mongers!" . . .
Conservatives would slink away ashamed, plaintively protesting "I am not a Racist, I just said that I think that . . . ."
.. and beware that a conservative idea was expressed on radio while the "Fairness Doctrine" was in effect. The station owner could lose his license if enough liberals made an issue of it.
If you spoke in favor of the Tenth Amendment you were a racist. (You were accused of favoring racist laws of some states.) If your response to urban riots was to express support for law and order and support for the police then you were a racist. (You were accused of favoring white merchants cheating and white police brutalizing inner city black folks.)
When the modern conservative movement began following W.W.II for decades it was considered a "climate of hate" and advocates were "purveyors of hate" -- and those were charges from the Republican establishment -- liberals like James "Scotty" Reston of the NY Times screamed that the "climate of hate" created by conservatives was responsible for the assassination of his pal JFK.
The last generation was not the silent generation it was the silenced generation -- I recall vividly the comments of caller after caller when modern talk radio was loosed about 20 years ago: "I had no idea that so many people believed as I believe! You are saying the things that I say, you sound like me!"

If so, they will rue the day they did.
Because this man has the necessities to become a U.S. Senator, a governor or the president right now.
I like this guy.
Col. West has decided he will run in a different district.

Let us reverse the golden rule: do unto others what they have done to us. The talking heads and any identified writers should be knocked on their backsides when recognized. Perhaps then they would realize that the spoken word has consequences.
When someone calls you racist, they want to shut you up. Put THEM on the defensive by ignoring them and contine to make your point
To all would-be cowards, afraid to stand up for this country, our Constitution, freedom and liberty, let Col. West be an example of what it means to meet the enemy eye to eye, and tell em’ off. And continue to keep at it....swallow your fear, dig deep within yourself for the courage, say a prayer and dammit, fight like soldiers of past wars. Some gave their lives for our freedom and liberty. Take a stand now, and carry on where soldiers of past wars left off.
WE ARE AT WAR WITH SOCIALISTS/COMMUNISTS/MARXISTS/FASCISTS/REVOLUTIONARIES/MUSLIM SHARIA LAW SYMPATHIZERS! Get out there and fight these enemies on our shores and be in IT to WIN IT!
GOP RINOs are punching bags. I.E. the Stupid Party. Conservatives have never been punching bags.
