This is what happens when people don’t have principles. When story is Trump endorses Newt, everyone loves Trump and think he is the greatest thing since sliced bread (on the other thread). When story is Trump to endorse Mitt, Trump is bashed as the anti-Christ. Folks absolutely have ZERO principles.

Well, that is the way I feel about it. If he endorses Newt he is the greatest thinker of the 21st century. If he endorses Mitt, then he is a sink and a low life. It is the way I roll. LOL>

Let’s see if Mittens is dumb enough to accept it.

I think it could be worth a lot of primary votes particularly in the northeastern states, especially to Gingrich. I’ve lived up there and difficult as it may be for you to imagine, Trump has a lot of fans.

Trump is ideologically much closer to Romeny than Newt.

I wasn't aware that either Trump or Romney actually had an ideology -- you can't really call "Look out for Number 1!" an actual ideology . . . :(

I've never understood why, with all his $$$, he just doesn't get a hair transplant.

Even a good haircut.

He could get a stylist that could take the few hairs that he has left, and cut it in such a way that he doesn't look like he is wearing an orange davy crockett coonskin cap.

One of the donald's favorite slurs against his enemies is, "He's a joke", I guess he has no mirrors.

Why does anyone care?

For the life of me I’ll never understand why anyone would care about this gigantic egomaniac.

If it is simply just because Trump decided to take on Obama for the last year, then that is pretty weak, quite frankly.

Checked CNN web page, not a sign of this so-called endorsement.

The report, which is at this point is a rumor or leak at best, is from CNN's political director, Mark Preston. I assume it's not quite considered news, since it hasn't been confirmed yet. This might be per CNN policy.

My question exactly!

It looks like the Donald is just trying to stay relevant and garner attention.

Thus, he needs at least another day to float rumors about endorsing Ron Paul.

I suspected Trump was behind the 3rd party radio ads here in Tennessee. Perhaps I was wrong on that guess.

Lost me there. Seems a sign to me they DO have principles. You support the guy and positions I support, you’re OK. You support his opponent and the positions he supports, you’re no good. What’s unprincipled about that?

Do you think CNN is running with this just to confuse, minimize, and try to blunt the effect if it turns out to be a Gingrich endorsement?

Good for Romney. Someone has to vote for that liberal sack of crap. It sure as heck won’t be me.

I'm really starting to wonder what mainstream "conservatism" really is when it seems to be a sliding scale depending entirely on what republican is popular at the moment.

I've noticed that now that Ed Rollins speaks favorably of Gingrich, he's no longer a secret Romney plant but has morphed into a Reagan Conservative.

Hahaha, same here, sorry. It is a matter of principles who he endorses, so therefore, if he endorses the scum mitt, he has less principles to me. Therefore, my view of him changes depending on who he endorses!

I don’t pay much attn to Trump and certainly don’t follow him, but I believe Romeny’s stance on trade with China mirrors Trump’s pretty closely.

Kinda makes you distrust the media...Or ar least wonder how they dream up “kill Newt” news. Does Obama call the media directly??

Pshaw! I don’t know what he will do, I suppose he sure knows how to create a stir and promote himself.

Just on that alone, I sure hope he backs Gingrich, if not...*shrug* not that much will have changed.

Trump would be of more benefit to Gingrich than Romney—other than Romneys love of you’re fired— that would benefit The Donalds self promotion most. hahaha!

Guess we shall see...
