President Obama is eyeing Arizona as one of the few Republican states he might flip in November, but to do that he might need the help of its brightest star: former Rep. Gabrielle Giffords (D).
Whether Giffords will lend her considerable clout to the president’s reelection campaign remains an open — and exceedingly delicate — question.

If Arizona goes for Obama, it won’t be due to Giffords. It will be because Republicans cannot run a conservative candidate. Conservatives have had enough, and voter turnout could be an issue.
They love being a victim, even if they have to imagine some way in which they've been victimized.
They look at victims as heros and regard people who fight back, or prepare to fight back, as too aggressive.
They strive to build a coalition of "victims" who have suffered imaginary class, race, gender, sexuality or environmental victimhood.
Even their rich and famous struggle to identify some slight that will help them maintain some victim cred. And if the celebrity's life is just too damn good to credibly claim victimhood, the unlucky-for-being-so-lucky celebutard finds ways to be photographed with victims, from whom they can osmose some reflected struggle.
Giffords was also going to be a shoo in for Kyl’s senate seat since he’s retiring. Why can’t these goons just back off and allow her to rehab?

Gabby Giffords is NOT Arizona’s brightest star! She just unfortunately got shot by a psycho who was obsessed with her, and obama and the leftist pundits made it all about “lack of civility”.
Raúl Grijalva, who is perhaps the leader in exploiting the Giffords meme, is a LaRaza/MEChA TRAITOR who supported the boycott of his own state, among other things. Dump the traitor!!!!

she has come a long way and the future will be difficult and the years ahead difficult for her family, I know from having a brain injury in my family..we love them but they should not be exploited.
Basically, we constituents (aka peasants) haven’t heard a thing from her that hasn’t come via a handler. There were some patched-together audio tapes, and then the well-rehearsed and highly-edited tv interview. The lefty staff and husband went all out to make it seem like it was Giffords “Tweeting,” writing, posting. They even moved her Tucson office after it had been in the same building for as long as I can remember (decades).
I agree. Giffords recovered more than I ever imagined possible from such a terrible wound. She should be allowed her privacy and her dignity. Didn’t any of these people notice that she had a friend read her resignation letter??

Why bother with Giffords. McCain would be happy to campaign for obama in 2012 just as he did in 2008.

He committed adultery on his first wife when he met Giffords, and the two of them had as perfect a political marriage as any of the leftists do (Clintons, Obamas, etc.). The [self-censored] manipulated the situation from day 1, always caring more about his own neck than anything else, posting “TMI” photos and revealing “TMI” things about their marriage that I doubt even his wife would have. And always, always, always, sneering about his enemy (the tea party).
He looks like he has the worst case of short man’s complex I’ve ever seen, and I’ve seen a bit of that (especially since I’m so tall).
I don't know if you watch the local Fox news channel and/or Channel 3 in the Phoenix area but they eat all of the Obama crap right up. It's pretty pathetic and sickening...
Well her husband the astronaught must have a house here. But Obama has made it easier for him to move, along with about 5000 other NASA employees and thier families.
