Didn’t Lincoln say “you can fool some of the people all of the time”?

Could be wrong, but wasn't it P.T. Barnum, of Barnum and Bailey Circus fame who said it?
[something like: "You can fool some of the people all of the time and all the people some of the time, but you cannot fool all of the people all of the time."]

Regardless, history (and my personal experience) shows it to be an accurate observation of the human race.

It seems now that at least half the people fool themselves all the time.

Lincoln said “You can fool some of the people some of the time, you can fool all the people some of the time, bur you can’t fool ALL the people ALL the time.”
