Here’s Google’s stance on homo marriage/Prop 8:

“While we respect the strongly-held beliefs that people have on both sides of this argument, we see this fundamentally as an issue of equality. We hope that California voters will vote no on Proposition 8 — we should not eliminate anyone’s fundamental rights, whatever their sexuality, to marry the person they love.

This is libertarianism run amok. I don’t know any society, even one intensely gay friendly, that has gone as far as these US states in hijacking the structure of marriage. And this not all that long after polls of the gay (or sad?) societies consistently said they were not interested in marriage, they were just interested in their private flings.
