Third, one hopes the chief had some strategy in mind that missed the eye, because otherwise he deserves a dunce cap.

It was a demonstration of power. Basically, telling the Catholic chaplains that Caesar demands his pinch of incense, and the Pope can go pound sand. It worked just as planned.

The Chaplain core (which you are/were a member of if I remember right) was just told that they serve the State, not God. Similar tricks have been done in other places. There will be more pressure, to the point where either the core goes away or becomes some sort of State religion.

“State religion” is the definition of sharia.

The Israeli press reported that in a TV interview the ambassador of Egypt had said he had spoken to Obama who had told him privately that Obama was and still is a Muslim who supports the Muslim agenda, and that the Muslim world should be patient with him because he had to finish up some domestic stuff (shoving Obamacare down our throats) before he could start working on the Islamic agenda.

The world Islamic agenda has always been the destruction of the US and Israel, and the establishment of worldwide sharia.

And sure enough, once Obamacare was crammed down our throats Obama set to work on “Arab Spring” - which has resulted in secular Middle East governments (who were supporting us in fighting the radical Islamists) being overthrown by radical Islamists.

Now we find out that Obamacare is going to be used to get Christians to give up Christianity. Once they’ve done that it will just be a matter of inserting sharia as the official state religion. All this going on while Hillary is meeting with radical Muslims to hear how they want the US to change to accommodate Muslims - these are people who say infidels are to be beheaded, and Hillary is taking advice from them on how things in our government should be.

The whole thing is surreal. We are watching the Muslim-in-Chief instate sharia right under our very noses. If we’re stupid enough to watch it happen, then we deserve what will be coming, and it’s not gonna be pretty.

Like Revelation level stuff. Because that’s where we’re at right now. The two beasts - corrupt government and corrupt religion - serving Satan the dragon.

I am astounded at the speed with which this is all happening. And Scripture makes it clear that the power-wielding is accomplished through economic means. Satan would control the economy. Interestingly, George Soros believes he is God, his entire fortune has been made by manipulating economies, and his allies are communists (corrupt government) and Islamists (corrupt religion). And Obama ascended to the White HOuse after somebody (who has managed to remain anonymous this whole time) made a run on the bank that sent the world into crisis.

People, we are in serious, serious uncharted territory here. On a Biblical level.

As I see it, the bishop’s letter to the parishes was pure Catholicism. The opposed contraception and abortion and said they “cannot and will not comply”.

That was what EVERY OTHER parish is the US of A received. The Catholic parishes within the army were told something different because of government intervention.

Now, you tell me. Which is Catholicism? The Bishop version or the Army version? And if the army version isn’t allowed to be fully Catholic, then what religion is it, and whose religion is it?

This strikes at the heart of religion in America. And it strikes at the heart of the legitimacy of the Chaplain Corps.

The Chief blew this one big time. The Chief should have said, “No Catholic doctor, nurse, medical assistant, or medic should participate in any of these procedures due to their still legal religious beliefs.”

I think it was in Desert Storm that Chaplains were told to remove their crosses since they might offend muslims. That was “official”. Some wise lead chaplain called it BS and stood his ground until the crosses went back on.

Now that was leadership.

This is essentially what was done in Nazi Germany, the Soviet Union and Red China. The state finds some clergymen that they can influence and forms the STATE'S Catholic, Lutheran, Methodist, etc. Church and simply eliminates any theological doctrine they disagree with and then the state outlaws all other churches.

I've been saying for a long time that it's becoming increasingly necessary for orthodox Catholics and Protestants to get along with each other, because it won't be long before our common enemy puts us in jail cells and gulags together.
