President Obama and the Bible
One News Now ^ | 2/4/2012 | Michael Yousseff

-snip-

Who can forget when he gave a speech mocking the ceremonial law of the Old Testament then saying something to the effect of, "How can you govern by the Sermon on the Mount?"

Well, he did it again at the National Prayer Breakfast on Thursday. I never understood that name since very little prayer, if any, takes place. Instead, perhaps it should be called the National Breakfast Gathering.

The president quoted the Bible to justify punishing those who have worked hard, and most of whom are very generous givers, in order to take their money and give it to many of his constituencies who are always standing outside the doors of the White House with out-stretched hands.

Mr. Obama, in justifying his misguided policy, quoted Jesus in Luke 12:48: "From everyone who has been given much, much will be demanded; and from the one who has been entrusted with much, much more will be asked."

-snip-

For it is God who gives each person different portions of gifts, talents, and treasure to manage according to His sovereign will. It is God who entrusts people with what they have, not the government.

God is the One who will judge the faithfulness of each individual's stewardship and blessing, or lack thereof. In Luke 12:48, Jesus, God the Son, is exhorting individuals to be faithful and give generously without regret.

-Snip-

This is a very dangerous precedent. We have had egotistical presidents before, from both political spectrums, but never to my knowledge have we had one who saw himself as replacing God, or one who views his administration as acting on God's behalf or instead of God.

-Snip-

Mr. Obama needs to issue an immediate and urgent apology for his misuse and mangling of the Scripture.

When Obama quotes scripture I cringe! Where is scripture when he is supporting Planned Parenthood and the killing of unborn children? Where is scripture when he is celebrating gay and lesbian marriage? He makes me ill! Keep throwing food stamps and money at a problem that grows like a cancer.

Many are too lazy to fish. . .or learn. . .we should give him our fish because we learned to fish and work for what we have. . .I think not! But that is where our tax dollars go: into a dark hole by the billions upon billions as a tribute to Lyndon Bird Johnson who thought up the Great Society all by himself.

I cringe too when he has to read the quote from the teleprompter or look down at his notes. Those words he should know by heart. Me thinks he’s a pretend Christian.

Obama is an affirmative action baby “educated” at Harvard in secular marxism.

He once told an ABC interviewer about his “Muslim” faith...the “reporter” had to stop him and remind him that he was a “Christian”.

Obama is a media produced empty-suit. Likely born in Mombassa, Kenya...raised in Indonesia and Hawaii...he has not a clue about cultural America.

Can’t help but notice his pals on PBS on now trying to turn the communist, anti-American Saul Alinsky into a good guy. Likely stuff is fnally going to come out about Obama’s community organizing days in Chicago.

The media is in the tank.

I Kings 12:

3That they sent and called him. And Jeroboam and all the congregation of Israel came, and spake unto Rehoboam, saying,

4Thy father made our yoke grievous: now therefore make thou the grievous service of thy father, and his heavy yoke which he put upon us, lighter, and we will serve thee.

5And he said unto them, Depart yet for three days, then come again to me. And the people departed.

6And king Rehoboam consulted with the old men, that stood before Solomon his father while he yet lived, and said, How do ye advise that I may answer this people?

7And they spake unto him, saying, If thou wilt be a servant unto this people this day, and wilt serve them, and answer them, and speak good words to them, then they will be thy servants for ever.

8But he forsook the counsel of the old men, which they had given him, and consulted with the young men that were grown up with him, and which stood before him:

9And he said unto them, What counsel give ye that we may answer this people, who have spoken to me, saying, Make the yoke which thy father did put upon us lighter?

10And the young men that were grown up with him spake unto him, saying, Thus shalt thou speak unto this people that spake unto thee, saying, Thy father made our yoke heavy, but make thou it lighter unto us; thus shalt thou say unto them, My little finger shall be thicker than my father’s loins.

11And now whereas my father did lade you with a heavy yoke, I will add to your yoke: my father hath chastised you with whips, but I will chastise you with scorpions.

12So Jeroboam and all the people came to Rehoboam the third day, as the king had appointed, saying, Come to me again the third day.

13And the king answered the people roughly, and forsook the old men’s counsel that they gave him;

14And spake to them after the counsel of the young men, saying, My father made your yoke heavy, and I will add to your yoke: my father also chastised you with whips, but I will chastise you with scorpions.

The silence from the MSM on Obama’s use of Scripture has been deafening. Had a conservative Christian done the same, leftists would have taken to the hills, screaming about “Theocracy.” But Obama is a leftist, and his religious beliefs are no threat to the agenda, so he can speak in God’s name all he wants apparently.

Understand I have no problem with a President, any President, quoting Scripture or couching his arguments in Christian theology, even when he does it poorly. It’s part of our heritage, and its right too. I just despise the double standard.

Americans who appear clueless by voting for this gutter snipe from Chicago should have at least noticed his lack of patriotism.

While the other D-RAT contenders were placing their hands over their hearts and facing the American flag, Obozo had his hands down in front apparently fumbling with his crouch. Perhaps he spotted one of his sodomite friends in the audience and this was a sort of homosexual salute.

Yet, this putrid being wraps himself in an entire backdrop of flags when he wants to appear as the leader.

Maybe we should begin referring to him as the Robin Hood president?

I don’t know what is worse. 0bama using the Bible to demand more of our tax dollars or his supporters who will echo his nonsense.
Both should be reminded that the Lord only asks for 10%.

To those of Obana’s stripe, the government takes the place of God, because, as they say, He’s dead, so we have to take over.

Can’t you see The Lord, calmly sitting and watching his every move, hearing his every crooked word behind closed and locked doors, reading his thoughts and motives in the dark at midnight? Every liar, says God’s word, was found in the lake of fire. And the smoke of their torment ascends forever.

You should have included verse 4. This is a prime examply of the dims using only one verse for their cause.

When the devil was tempting Jesus to make stones turn into bread, Jesus answered with these words: "It is written, That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God."

Jesus also said: He who does not work, neither should he eat.

all scripture is given by inspiration of God and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be perfect throughly furnished unto all good works. (2 Tim 3:16,17)

"if you don't work, you don't eat" -- the Holy Spirit said it. God said it.
