I’m picturing it was done much the same way as something I witnessed: I was driving down 8 Mile in Detroit, coming up to a “Michigan turn” (a turn around at the light, which has a median strip). A line was forming because of the red light and evidently this woman in a huge SUV didn’t feel like waiting for the light like everyone else and drove up over the curb, across the median and down the other curb into the nearest lane of west-bound traffic.

What’s most disturbing to me about this is all the FReepers piling on in approval.

I get it, you’re mad about someone cutting in line at McDonald’s. Huge injustice, entitlement society, it happened to you at Burger King, etc.

So that makes it OKAY for a police officer to use a TASER on a citizen, in violation of the laws of every state?

Because you can’t use a weapon on someone for failing to comply. Of course the cops are saying she “threatened” them. With what? A McNugget?

What kind of chicken-s***, lazy-a** cops can’t handle a woman in a car without resulting to the use of a LETHAL weapon? (Tell all the relatives of people who’ve been tased to death that they’re “non-lethal.”)

If they had hit her with a baton, would you still be high-fiving each other? Yeah, I didn’t think so.

Cops are out of control. And it’s way past time for every state to ban tasers.
