Woman Tasered in Front of Daughter After Cutting McDonalds Drive-Thru Line
By Olivia Katrandjian | ABC News Blogs – 17 hrs ago

**SNIP**

Employees at the McDonalds in Hope Mills, N.C., refused to serve Evangeline Lucca and told her to go to the back of the line. Lucca, 37, refused to move, and blocked the drive-thru for 20 minutes before police arrived on the scene, authorities said.

When deputies arrived, Lucca was "defiant," "would not get off McDonalds property," and was "threatening the deputies," according to Debbie Tanna, a public information officer for the Cumberland County Sherriff's Office.

**SNIP**

"Two or three officers entered the car with her and started trying to forcibly drag her out of the car, and that's when you could hear the clicking sound of the Taser one time," Rich told the Fay Observer. "They pulled on her a couple of times, and then they Tased her again, and when they Tased her the second time, she just flopped out of the car like a fish."

You are going to great lengths to appease and enable her bad behavior. Call the police after she leaves? Yeah, that’s going to be their high profile case for the day, after they get up off the floor from laughing.

I remember those days well. Yes, men were men back in the day.

There are so many people that have the entitlement mentality. Cut in line, you must vote for me, get out of my way “don’t you know who I am”...etc. It’s all getting quite stale. This woman was wrecking it for everyone behind her. I don’t think she’ll do it again, and I doubt the little weasel you dealt with ever did it again either. :)

.... it's a wonderful heart-warming thing when society comes to the rescue to teach that same chile a new lesson. All is well - no children were harmed in this tutorial.

As well as it should. Bravo for the officers acting with such judicious restraint in dealing with this moron and for the McD's employees saying enough is enough already. These kind of stories warms the cockles of my heart.

As humorous as this may be to many people, I believe that law enforcement (of any kind) is becoming too free with the use of tasers. The idea that since it's supposedly "non-lethal," then it's okay, has to stop.

The story of the elderly man in Marin who was tased by a park ranger for walking his dogs off-leash shows how far over the line policing has gotten with the use of tasers.

Can one envision a time when it won't be long before we move to a corporal punishment system where public tasing will replace public lashing as a form of punishment for crimes handed down by our courts?

A parent, using their own authority, to teach repetitively their child the proper approach in life is to push and shove and create stinks in public, needs to have their knees capped. IMHO. Tasering is just icing on top. Also, IMHO.

LMAO. I'm with you on this one.

The employee told him the woman frequently comes to the restaurant and cuts in line, and that, “We’re not having it anymore, so we called the cops,” Rich said.

They're not playing her game anymore.

I can't stand people who start screaming and making a public scene when they don't get their way.

I saw the trashiest behavior at WalMart one after noon with 4 women (3 employees & 1 customer) cussing, making threats, yelling, sticking their fingers in each others faces and bobbing their heads side to side at the cash registers in front of the store. The area was busy and we had to listen to this B.S.

Everybody is discounting the approach of SERVE her, AND call the cops. That isn't much of a reward for her in the end.

Sorry to rain on your parade here bud but please pray tell just what are the cops going to do to this whiny spoiled little beetch if they even bother to go looking for her upon following your advice? Pray tell again what crime did she commit to warrant a man hunt for her afterwords? No the McD' employees did the right thing and I applaud them and the responding officers actions. At least she was creating a public disturbance at the drive thru.

SERVE the b*tch (so she leaves the window) but ALSO call the cops on her surreptitiously.

Call the cops on her for what?

If there is a law against cutting in line at McDonalds, I'm not aware of it. There is, however, a law against trespassing.

If they serve her, she leaves, and she is not trespassing. She gets away with this again and will continue to do it in the future.

If they do not serve her, ask her to leave and she doesn't, then she is trespassing and they can call the cops.

I'm with others on this; I'm happy McDonalds took a stand and I hope the woman and her daughter learned a lesson from it. I'd have been happy to be one of the customers caught waiting in line to learn what went down.

If she was in a car, how does she cut in? I’d like to know how to do that.

I’m picturing it was done much the same way as something I witnessed: I was driving down 8 Mile in Detroit, coming up to a “Michigan turn” (a turn around at the light, which has a median strip). A line was forming because of the red light and evidently this woman in a huge SUV didn’t feel like waiting for the light like everyone else and drove up over the curb, across the median and down the other curb into the nearest lane of west-bound traffic.

I was working at Oktoberfest which was in a city park meaning no dogs. A woman came up with a great dane looking dog and and tried to pay while ignoring me and talking to her friends. I told her about 5 times that a city ordinance prevented dogs from being where food was served. My boss came over and said, “the city doesn’t want your dog sh*tting where people are eating..”
The lady was about to protest when her dog sh*tted right next to the line. But did she clean it up? No,a city worker had to.
I agree 100% with you, people don’t dislike dogs, they dislike their owners who thinks that dogsh*t is no big deal..

Leave it to ABC to introduce the daughter in the headline rather than focus on the issue.

What’s most disturbing to me about this is all the FReepers piling on in approval.

I get it, you’re mad about someone cutting in line at McDonald’s. Huge injustice, entitlement society, it happened to you at Burger King, etc.

So that makes it OKAY for a police officer to use a TASER on a citizen, in violation of the laws of every state?

Because you can’t use a weapon on someone for failing to comply. Of course the cops are saying she “threatened” them. With what? A McNugget?

What kind of chicken-s***, lazy-a** cops can’t handle a woman in a car without resulting to the use of a LETHAL weapon? (Tell all the relatives of people who’ve been tased to death that they’re “non-lethal.”)

If they had hit her with a baton, would you still be high-fiving each other? Yeah, I didn’t think so.

Cops are out of control. And it’s way past time for every state to ban tasers.

I can't believe some of the responses in this thread - the ones that are along the lines of "just serve her and keep the line moving."

When people are allowed to engage in arrogant and uncivil behavior like this and get away with it because it is "too inconvenient" to others to deal with it correctly, then our society begins to break down.

When there are no consequences for being an arrogant jerk, more arrogant jerks are created.

I'm having a hard time picturing that as well. Every drive through line I've ever been in has been bumper to bumper as it moves along. She must be one heck of an aggressive driver.

I actually not having a hard time picturing it. Unless you drive a hooptie or don't mind getting your car banged up, your going to let people in front of you to avoid contact. This person figured that out and decided to take advantage of it.

No kidding, could you imagine the response if she’d have tried that at a Dunkin Donuts?

Wow, they’d have approached the car with guns drawn.
