Woman Tasered in Front of Daughter After Cutting McDonalds Drive-Thru Line
By Olivia Katrandjian | ABC News Blogs 17 hrs ago
Employees at the McDonalds in Hope Mills, N.C., refused to serve Evangeline Lucca and told her to go to the back of the line. Lucca, 37, refused to move, and blocked the drive-thru for 20 minutes before police arrived on the scene, authorities said.
When deputies arrived, Lucca was "defiant," "would not get off McDonalds property," and was "threatening the deputies," according to Debbie Tanna, a public information officer for the Cumberland County Sherriff's Office.
"Two or three officers entered the car with her and started trying to forcibly drag her out of the car, and that's when you could hear the clicking sound of the Taser one time," Rich told the Fay Observer. "They pulled on her a couple of times, and then they Tased her again, and when they Tased her the second time, she just flopped out of the car like a fish."

I just might pay good money to see that. Bonus: the daughter gets a free life lesson.
I’m willing to wager that this was an abortive case of McNugget Rage.
All fast food violence involves women and Chicken McNuggets.
This thread is Chock full of win.
And why would she not feel entitled to cut in line in front of others? That is what we are teaching when we have sanctuary cities for illegals who have cut in line in front of the others who are trying to enter the legal way.
Now why can’t I be in line to see things like this. Her hair is going to be heck to deal with after this.
I enjoy seeing arrogant people get what they deserve. I hope this taught her daughter, but something tells me she’ll sue.
Hunger and PMS is a baaaad combination, as many a husband can attest.
Lucca sleeps with the fishes?? LOL.....
Hardcore Pawn customers have to eat too!
The big Mac she tried to order has a higher IQ than she does.
That'll teach her to block the food line when hungry cops are impatiently waiting.
“Customer Anthony Rich said he pulled into the parking lot to order lunch and found a long line of cars at the drive-through. He said he got in line and waited, eventually getting up to the first window, where he commented about the long line.
An employee told him the woman was refusing to move, Rich said.
The employee told him the woman frequently comes to the restaurant and cuts in line, and that, “We’re not having it anymore, so we called the cops,” Rich said.
Lisa Powell, who owns the franchise for that McDonald’s location, said in a prepared statement that employees called deputies “after lengthy conversation with the customer” about why her actions were unsafe.
Rich said deputies soon arrived at the scene and ordered Lucca to get out of the car, but she refused. The deputies continued their orders for about 20 minutes, until they finally removed a young girl, he said.
“Two or three officers entered the car with her and started trying to forcibly drag her out of the car, and that’s when you could hear the clicking sound of the Taser one time,” Rich said. “They pulled on her a couple of times, and then they Tased (stunned) her again, and when they Tased (stunned) her the second time, she just flopped out of the car like a fish.”
Lucca was charged with second-degree trespassing. Social workers took custody of her 3-year-old child who was in the car, Tanna said.
Tanna said deputies are not allowed to use Tasers on a person who simply refuses to comply with orders without danger involved, but in this case Lucca was engaging in “threatening behavior.”
“Our top priority was making sure people weren’t hurt because we didn’t know if she was going to drive the car off and run over somebody,” Tanna said. “Then there was the baby in the car we were concerned about.””
I don’t know who wins the contest for being the p*ssier party here — the woman or the McDonalds. When they denied service to her for having cut in line, then she just sat there for 20 minutes blocking everybody and nobody could be served (unless the place was still open and people could leave the line, park, and go in). After five minutes, I’m sure the waiting customers were like “JUST SERVE THE DAMN LADY AND LET THE LINE MOVE AGAIN!” _She_ might not have a valid complaint about that McDonalds, but a lot of other disgruntled customers now do.
Lucca sleeps with the fishes?? LOL.....
OMG that is tooo funny!!! We just watched The Godfather last night. But the question remains, was it business or personal?
If she was in a car, how does she cut in? I’d like to know how to do that.
When a parent has no qualms about teaching a child immorality and assholyness, it's a wonderful heart-warming thing when society comes to the rescue to teach that same chile a new lesson. All is well - no children were harmed in this tutorial.
I didn't know it flopped.
And how many of the people crowing this kind of thing would be in a personal swivet if they felt their own authority in the eyes of their child was being undermined?
There’s always two sides to the story.
If you read a post above, it’s seems the lady has done it in the past regularly. Rewarding bad behavior is never a good thing.
The original story said she’s done this a few times. She must be driving around cars that are stopped at the intercom and pulling right up to the window. Another one of those people who’s more important than everyone else in the world.
“One filet-o-fish. Would you like to shake with that?”
I'm having a hard time picturing that as well. Every drive through line I've ever been in has been bumper to bumper as it moves along. She must be one heck of an aggressive driver.
She pulled straight up to window #2 (where you receive your order) and demanded to place an order there. Sounds like it has worked for her in the past and McD's finally got sick of it. Good for them!
Personally, seeing this bitch get tazed and flopping like a fish would've made my 20 minute wait all the worthwhile.
Did the waiting customers behave all that badly when they made their demand to let the line move? McDonalds should have its own tasers if the typical delays associated with calling police are any indication. They could always have called in a report on her license plate even if serving her hamburger. Discretion is the better part of valor.
JUST SERVE THE DAMN LADY AND LET THE LINE MOVE AGAIN!
This is exactly what these obnoxious a holes count on to keep getting away with their behavior.
They are bullies and know their minority status will win them a settlement unjustly because they will whine and have flocks of unethical lawyers taking their case for free.
It’s going to keep getting worse.
But if they serve her, she will ALWAYS cut into line, then OTHERS will cut into line, etc, etc.
Police were correct to zap her. She will sue for millions, of course, and win.
So cutting into line makes you a millionaire.
Good thing she didn't cut in front of them at the Dunkin' Donuts. She'd be deader than a German Shepherd at the wrong address.
Even being able to do that seems to indicate less than maximum density at the time, because otherwise as cars leave the pickup window others are right on their bumper. But I’m sure the line quickly built up to where it was spilling out on the street while this p*ssing contest was taking place. I still say serve the b*tch AND call the police.
Give each of them a shot at her with the taser and all will be well.
Settlement schmettlement! Anyone who should get an apology and maybe a token coupon, it’s the innocent people who were made to wait when they didn’t have to. SERVE the b*tch (so she leaves the window) but ALSO call the cops on her surreptitiously.
Very funny when some had hasty schedules to meet.
Ooooh. I see.
I guess we have to wait until monday to see her “booking” photo.
A parent, using their own authority, to teach repetitively their child the proper approach in life is to push and shove and create stinks in public, needs to have their knees capped. IMHO. Tasering is just icing on top. Also, IMHO.
Everybody is discounting the approach of SERVE her, AND call the cops. That isn't much of a reward for her in the end.
“Would you like Fries with that?” zzzzzzzzzzzzt Ouch! zzzzzzt OUCH! flop flop flop.
Think of how your own knee would jerk if you were accused of that.
Yeah, thinking the same thing.
Don’t serve her. Close the drive through.Call the police. Send an employee out to take the orders of those in line. Tell them to park, as McDonalds does when your order will take longer. Take the food out to those people as their orders are completed. Tell them there is an ongoing problem and ask them to please take their order away with them so that there will be parking available, if that is a problem.
Maybe they’re set up differently in other parts of the country, but here in NC, there is the backlit menu with speaker for placing an order, a first window with cashier for paying for the order, and a second window for picking up the order. There are gaps between them all, but most often between the pay window and the pick-up window, due to people fumbling for change or digging around for money in a purse or something. That’s where she cut in, going straight to the pick-up window to order, pay and pick up.
Thank God it wasn't a Donut shop...they'd have shot and killed her!!
Daily Mail has a great photo of a laser gun tho.
To all appearances even THAT didn’t happen, doubtless due to some corporate rule about not going out when a difficult customer shows up, because of the litigational dangers.
They know her license plate. It’s sitting right there in view of the order window. Just phone police and let them take care of the unruly customer afterwards, with disorderly conduct charges or whatever.
Very funny when some had hasty schedules to meet./
If people have hasty schedules to keep then I suggest they get off their lazy duffs and GO IN and order.
Have we become such a lazy society that we have forgotten what it was like before driveup windows? If I saw there was a problem and I was in a hurry I would carry my butt inside and order. I’m not a diva.
