I didn't watch yesterday's Superbowl, but I read about it. With just a few minutes left to go, one of the players (on the team that ended up losing) had a pass hit his hands, but instead of catching it and running for a touchdown, he accidentally dropped the ball.
Clearly, his "intent" was to catch the ball.
If the Democrats were in charge, they would have people examine the instant replay footage with a magnifying glass, to determine what the player's "intent" was. Then the Democrats would demand extra time so that player could have another chance to score a touchdown. The Democrats would also demand that the definition of a touchdown be changed. After all, Democrats don't believe that deadlines, or other rules which are set in advance, should be enforced.
The losers would all get a ring albeit a small one and a parade, a smaller one. Everybody would be a winner.
Can't say I've ever seen that before.
The Dems would take the winners money and give it to crackheads and drug dealers.
I didn’t watch either, just read reports here and elsewhere. I thought the Dems WERE in charge of yesterday’s Super Bowl, at least the halftime show and ads.
SOMEONE has got to take control of those aspects of Super Bowl. They really are degraded and degrading. Just like the Dems!
Strategery.
But wait, what about the inherent unfairness of all those one percenter black players who are disproportionately represented in the NFL. Shouldn’t the great Democratic Party do something about that? Isn’t equality of opportunity for all Americans what we are looking for?
Why yessssss..........we should have quotas on each NFL team for Asian Americans, people under 5’6” tall, American Indians, Indian Indians, stocky white guys with bad comb-overs, GBLTs, and, of course, illegal aliens, (thanks to the new proposed legislation, the “NFL Dream Act”), and certainly many more groups TBD.
Never mind that the quality of the play goes in the toilet, isn’t equality of income opportunity what’s important here anyway????? It is not about winning, it is how you play the game!
So isn’t it time to “Occupy NFL?” in order to bring about all these needed changes.
I can’t say anything about the teams... but the dims were in control of everything not on the field.
LLS
They’d also demand that the score be recounted and recounted until their team won.
And Lombardi Trophies for everyone who participated!
one of the players, who is less popular in Boston than George W. Bush, ....
one of the players, whose name will never be spoken in Boston, ....
