If this happens, big if, the Turks are going to $#!t bricks. If you wanted to send the Turks Islamist government into a barking mad frenzy this is one of the best ways I can think of to do it.

Good - let them worry for a change.

But positively the best way is to demand that they give territory/reparations to the Armenians for the genocide that their great grandfathers committed during WW1.

You are of course correct on that. The Turks are gonna absolutely freak. Perhaps Israel is thinking of offering in exchange a bailout to the Greeks instead.

I can see the Israelis establishing a air/naval base in Cyprus, in exchange for the Greek Cypriots getting Israeli backing in any future conflict with the Turks. The Turks would freak, yes.
