Unions ask Democrats in Walker recall to make budget veto pledge (Teacher's Union buys a candidate)

Union leaders are asking Democratic candidates for governor to veto the next state budget if it doesn't restore collective bargaining for public workers, and one leading candidate - Kathleen Falk - has agreed. Such a veto could lead to gridlock with the Legislature, particularly if Republicans continue to control one or both houses, and to possible layoffs of state workers, officials warned. Nonetheless, the move is a key strategy that union leaders are considering for undoing Gov. Scott Walker's repeal last year of most collective bargaining for public employees. Falk, the former Dane County executive, has committed to restoring collective bargaining in the next state budget and vetoing the budget if those provisions come out.

You often see union endorsements, but in this case the Democrat candidate is union selected for Wisconsin's gubernatorial recall election. Freepers, please support Wisconsin's Republican Governor Scott Walker. They say states are the test-beds for policy. Walker needs to win again to defeat the union machine and validate his instituted policies!

I hope the Wisconsin GOP is doing its best to show that the sky hasn’t fallen, and their economy hasn’t crashed as a result of Walker’s changes to the law.

I couldn’t agree more. It seems that when Kathy Falk announced her candidacy to run against Walker, she was flanked by two UNION THUGS. Gee, golly - that’s what WE the People of Wisconsin want sitting in our beautiful Governor’s capital office.

Yes indeed, PLEASE anyone from within or out of state that cares about how the unions / dems (I repeat myself) under Obama’s direction are trying to force their policies on us, if you can find a few dollars - please donate to Gov. Walker. It’s all about union money being taken from our taxpayer pockets directly into Dem coffers. Simple as that. Follow the money. Walker cut off that stream and rightfully so.

He is an honest man, doing a terrific job. This recall in WI is out of control. Recalls should be for felonies or misconduct pertaining to law, NOT just because little whiney Dems don’t like the results of the elections.

This IS war with the national unions and with the Ozippy administration, don’t think otherwise. Wisconsin is the battleground they’ve chosen. This election / recall including all the fraud so far with the recall petitions is extremely important. We can use all the support, donations and help we can get.

Let’s show them who’s boss here. We the People - Let’s DO it!

This thread should start a detailed discussion of collective bargaining by public service unions.

Firstly, why public service unions?

Secondly, why they should be allowed to bargain for anything, except with those whose pockets they are attempting to pick. Bureaucrats and government employees are only a part of “the people” whose taxes pay the wages and benefits of public service/government workers.

No unions, no automatic dues paying, no collective bargaining, for any public service/government employees. A tall task for people who work for a living and aren’t into intimidation, muscle, goonery, lobbying, power trips, whining, paid public protests, time off to protest, chicanery, lying, deception, thievery, bribery, etc.

The people suffer at the hands of Government bureaucrats who in the past, just gave away the store in times of plenty.

The days of plenty are past until the 16 trillion in debt is taken care of and that my freeper friends could be well in the future, if there is a future.

Sorry, but I gots to disagree with you here. Recalls are the way for people to maintain control over their elected officials. I think Walker has done an excellent job, and does not deserve this. But, it is the citizens right to do this. Just remember, if this recall works, that conservatives can do the exact same thing to the new communist governor.... communists are activists, conservatives are by nature not ( we are too busy going to work to earn money to give to the communists ) it is past time to start playing the game their way, and take back what is ours...
