They still have to go thru lots of environmental reviews, which is a federal responsibility.

To ship all that oil and gas to China from Alberta, new pipelines to the Pacific coast (Kitimat) are required, which must also go thru the enviro-review process. And this is where the eco-nuts are trying to stop it, by choking the process with a flood of “citizens” wanting to be heard. In reality, of course, most are the usual leftist “professional protestors” that show up at every event, and a lot aren’t even Canadian.

To be sure Enviro-Whackos are capable of a lot of things. But I really don’t think they want to try and stand between the ChiComs and their energy supply. It can’t possibly end well for them.
