A great speech from Rick Perry on what America is about thats sure to spawn some of you to think what might have been. He even has a great line on the Chrysler ad its halftime in America:
If its halftime in America, Im fearful of what the final scores gonna be if we let this president start the second half as the quarterback!

THANK YOU for posting this!
I wouldn’t get too excited about a speech; he’s a no-good. We’re better off that he dropped out of the race. LaRaza Rick, pro-illegal, pro-lawlessness no good bastard. OMG he was a democrat in 1989 and dared to be behind Al Gore (when gore was for life before he was against it); a conservative democrat in the South; oh the horror!
Ripped apart on here because he was not good enough. He made the mistake of being: Pro-life, Pro-2nd Amendment, Pro-free market, pro-lower taxes, pro-Israel, married to one woman (damn...a highschool sweetheart...no-good bastard), Pro-domestic energy (which he knew nothing about apparently)One of the real kickers? Trial Lawyers in Texas hate his guts. That right there should show what a no-good he is. Oh wait a sec, I forgot the no-good bastard actually served in the military....as a pilot! Geez louise...that shows he was a globalist bastard; serving in the US Military. My God the horror. Oh wait..I forgot something else; crony capitalist! He actually accepted a donation from a drug company. $8000. After that I’m sure he ran out and bought a mansion.
Others are banned for tearing down candidates to make theirs look good but it was open season on Rick Perry around here. And now look what we are stuck with.
In comparison with what is left in the field; Gov Perry is definitely distinct and unlike those left; he made the mistake of actually being a conservative.
Yes. It was
Good rant! I watched that and almost cried because of what could have been.
You forgot the sarcasm tag. You had me going. It was a sad day, when he left the race.
Thanks for posting this. Perry is a good and humble man. I like Newt and think he will be a great president for our times...I still miss Perry...very much. *sigh*
He was way ahead of the curve on obama’s war on religion and Second Amendment rights. Three terms of executive experience in the great state of Texas and served his country. I would never in a million years have thought he wouldn’t be good enough for conservatives.
AWESOME speech, thanks for posting.
Rick Perry was my favored candidate and I am disappointed that his candidacy came to an end. He was the only one out there talking about truly limiting the federal government rather than just slowing it’s growth.
Where would you rather live, Massachusetts or Texas? There is no perfect place, but the comparison isn’t even close. During the latter part of Governor Perry’s campaign, he had good debates and ideas, but all of the press: liberal and conservative ignored him. He had become the red meat that they used in their headlines to drive traffic to their articles. Everything they said was negative and all positives were ignored. Forget about this country or its future, the press just wanted their cushy jobs and didn’t really care to report honestly or accurately on anything. Now, we are in the middle of mess brought on by too many debates and Republican elites who feel they should pick a candidate for the little people.
Holy cow, I was getting ready to go off on you, and then I kept reading-—you really had me going, LOL!
“the no-good bastard actually served in the military”.....excellent!
